Update:

Thanks so much for all the support.

The campaign definitely has some way to go but I've been learning a lot in regards to what it takes to make a successful campaign which is invaluable.

I drafted a press release due to come out Wed. US time, hoping that generates some additional buzz :)

I'm also thinking I'll update the entire layout of the campaign page to make it look "shmooth" and perhaps more professional. Support from the MBI tribe and cpf has been wonderful but I'm thinking the rest of the world may need a little more visual "slick" to add momentum.

Some other interesting tidbits, since launching the campaign, I've had endless inbound mail from so-called crowdfunding experts the majority of which are scam, spam or a waste of time.

I'm also considering extending the campaign duration (to take better advantage of press traffic, should there be any lol) though that won't have any impact on production time.

Thanks again for your support and of course please feel very welcome to spread the word.

Hi Newguy2012,
Could you see the new page?

Tgwnn
It works after I cleared the browser cache.
I think you guys should try it in Private/Incognito browser mode.

Re: MBI: "Thing" - My newest, top secret "the product with no name"

Fyi Guy is selling the MBI Matchbook, starting at $28 via Indiegogo at this link https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/flashlight-the-size-of-a-match/x/13476553#/ I saw the picture of his prototype a few years ago and always wanted one. I ordered one last week. Scot in DC
Thanks for sharing that again sbholliday :)

Ummm..... Yes, we know. That's why we are all talking about it in this thread.
Hi Jay R,

Good intentions of course :D

I do have to say after day 6 of the campaign, it certainly makes me realise just how special what we have as a community here is

Congrats Guy, you made it "big time". Gizmodo

EDIT: Don't read the comments. lol Looks like some of the non flashlight folks think something this cool and artful isn't a smart or environmentally friendly use of materials! lol WOW I am gonna enjoy using mine.

The comments are pretty brutal. Thankfully the backer don't see it that way. I don't see it as using a lot of materials. One disposable floss probably use more plastic than a pack of these.

Cant you move there posts here so they dont have to post them again?

Yes, I could, but as they were basically just trashing the project I left them there. If Guy wants me to move them here, I will oblige. Does that seem fair?

Understood, your call. A bit of criticism is to be expected though on a disposable product like this when wastefulness is starting to be frowned upon in modern society.
