Managed to be (almost) tobacco free for a while now. I bought a Sigelie 150 TC and Herakles Plus. Well the Sigelie is a brick and the Plus is prone to leaks, so it wasn't getting carried. Hence I'd find myself in situations where I'd be scrounging a hand roll from someone (usually at the pub or out eating).

I've bought a few more tanks, the Uwell Crown is foolproof and very good, original Herakles the same, and Aspire Nautilus en route for times when I don't want to cloud, just puff.

The problem of portability has been solved by the very good Innokin Cool Fire 4 Plus with the iSub G tank. Perfectly capable setup once the whistling drip tip has been replaced, I'm very pleased with it.

Interesting the problem you are having with the Herakles Plus. I have had a few leaks but I think they occur when I fill the liquid without closing the juice slots up first.

Now that I've been using these three tanks for a considerable amount of time: Crown, TFV4 and Herakles Plus I think I have a better rating off their quality and flavor.

Crown: Number 2 for flavor with dual 0.25 coils . Number 1 for quality of build.

TFV4: Number 1 for flavor with the 0.35 clapton coins. Number 3 on build quality.

Herakles Plus: Number 3 for flavor on the .5 coils. Number 2 for build quality.

If the TFV4 could neaten up the top fill system so I didn't have to wipe it down and clean off the excess liquid everytime I closed it then it would get a higher build rating.
The Crown has never disappointed me and always hits nice. I just picked up some CLR v5 and the flavor is amazing.
The Herakles Plus is an odd tank. It works better on certain fluids than others. I find that the flavor starts off amazing on a clean coil but then gets a little off after a few tank fill ups. I'll probably retire this one once I go through the coils I picked up with it.

I see there is a new TFV4 micro with a slightly different coil and tank top design. I'll be looking into that one.

I'm also going to try out some SS temp control. A little bit safer IMO that the Ti/Ni stuff.

Maybe the new TF RTA could be the answer, nice choice of 2 decks................which one though?!? Both appealing to me so would need both to try/use.

This may get me out of vape buying hibernation

Will break out the OBS again soon for a change.

Interesting! My TFV4 Mini has been fine as far as the build quality. No leaking and I store it on its side. I did notice the top fill system didn't want to entirely close at the start, but it seems to be working now. My problem is the airflow. For some reason, I feel as if I'm getting a lot more air through the crown tank. The TFV4 isn't perfect at all, but I believe the people are paying for the coil availability. I know that I love building on a deck, but I don't have the time to tinker with it. I also don't have the self confidence to assure myself it isn't going to blow up in my face. After all, it's a straight shot to the center of your body when you inhale. Having these crazy pre-built coils is fine. Plus 25 a month or two for coils is fine. I have noticed that I believe the dual Clapton coil has a design flaw. The juice holes are big, but the design makes it take FOREVER to absorb the juice. It gets a lot of dry hits because of this. The 6 coil atomizer absorbs the juice almost instantly. Just thought I'd share my coil opinion with you all!

I decided to give TC a try. The DNA200 now supports SS coils for TC. The Crown 0.25 dual coils are SS coils. I set it at 80W and 475*F with 100W preheat and soft punch. I have to say I am wowed at the moment - the flavor profiles are definitely enhanced a bit with a nice smooth draw throughout the pull.

I don't think I'll start doing TC with Ti or Ni as they just add something weird to the flavors. But I am definitely sold on SS TC!

I haven't been vaping nearly as much as of late, but do still enjoy a puff here or there. Went on vacation to Dominican Republic recently, so figured I'd share my traveling with vaporizer experience.

1. There is virtually no issue entering the country with anything. There is passport/immigration control, but that's about it. All customs agents were open and I didn't see a SINGLE person stopped.

2. You are not allowed to have a vaporizer in your carry on luggage on leaving. They are very specific on this, and there are notices on displays specifically about it. They even have pictures of the more popular pen style vapes up.

Due to risk I traveled with just the iStick 100W, and TFV4. Took the tank apart, kept it separate from the mod, and threw the mod in with other electronis on exiting, and had zero issues. No one questioned me on on fluids... I had 60ml with me in carry on, in two 30ml bottles.

Seems the biggest thing they watch for is just any large fluids container, that's over 100ml. Anything under that, they don't really care.

Still had to take shoes off... guess we should be thankful we're not asked to take our underwear off in the name of safety.

Interesting! I thought that you were allowed to put your vaporizer in your carry on, but not in your checked bag due to a fire hazard. Doesn't the TSA have it online as allowed in carry on bags?

TSA does. Security in DR does not. The firehazard is from batteries, so technically that would make taking a vape pen, or any mod with built in battery impossible to legally take out of DR.

I don't think it's an issue if you have a box mod, and separate tank, mod, batteries though. My next "test" will be in the fall, going through Hong Kong, where vaporizers are not permitted. Will just do the same as with DR... taken apart tank, cheap mod with no batteries.

Need help! I have a 200 watt box mod (smok), and a TFV4 Mini. I'm currently using the 6 coil, .4 ohm atomizer. I've smoked a few cigarettes in my life, but I never liked the taste in my mouth. Now, I just got some 12mg nicotine e liquid, and I can't even have it. My throat feels like it is on fire! For my setup, being an occasional smoker (once a month), what mg nic e liquid do I need? I weigh 150 pounds, so I'm not really a heavy weight.

OMG dude - I amazed you still have lungs. You can't hit something like that with 12mg liquid. I would go out and get some 3mg liquid at most. Those sub-ohm tanks and coils are beasts.

Also, I find the TFV4 runs most nicely on the 4-coil and dual clapton coils at around 75W. I'd try something around that range and go from there with the 6-coil setup.

I'm surprised I still have lungs too. I was so excited to try it the first time with my juice that I took one really long hit. Big mistake! I ended up lying on my bed wondering where up and down were because everything was spinning and burning. Is there any way I can dilute my e-liquid? or should I just go out and get a 3mg bottle?

Yeah - if you like the flavor you like you can dilute it with the same flavor. Get a bottle of 0mg liquid. Then mix it with 3 parts of the 0mg to 1 part of the 12mg. That will dilute it down to a 3mg mix.

+1 to everything SOYCD advises

Also look at higher VG content, really a minimum 50% VG ideally more to help make it a smoother vape when pushed.

The TFV4 coils are really cloud chasing and not a daily vape kind of tank/coil.

I was in the local vape shop the other day and nearly bit on the new quad clapton tank. The base is a work of art.........a BEAST but thought , my use is going to be limited, try it, like it, then go back to lower W and easier going vape...........

I got the TFV4 mostly to explore my interests in the different pre-built coils. I also wanted some coils with big juice holes because I almost never vape with much PG in the mix. Unfortunately I misjudged the nic level. I tried diluting it down but it still burned my throat. I don't think I will be able to get it down to 3mg nic. Probably safer just to get a new bottle.

Yes, as diluting it requires the right mix of flavour and VG too, so it all stays comparative . Sometimes easier to call it a day and start a fresh:)

Exactly my decision! My friend has been a smoker his whole life. I allowed him to try my vape with the 12mg e-liquid. He loved it, and experienced no burning issues. He is getting his own vape pen, and I am giving him that E-liquid. I am going to purchase a bottle of 3mg liquid now, so I don't have to mess around with all that liquid.

The lower level you can be happy with the better. Most shops sell 0mg and 3mg of fluid, so get a bottle of each, and just fill the tank halfway from each bottle... try it at 1.5mg and see how you like it. I also tried first time with I think 15mg or something like that and it absolutely killed my throat.
