I am not trying to market stuff here, but you GOT to see this king of flood! When I was first hype'd by the idea of having 7300lumens in the hand and size of a Tiny Monster, it is just impossible to stop thinking about it and seeing it myself to compare it with my other crazy lights such as the Tiny Monster TM16-GT and such. I thought we are already at the max-level of lumens, and the market just never stop pumping out more craziness! When can we stop buying flashlights? I guess just like everyone here, it's an incurable disease - The Lumen Chasing Syndrome.

Thrunite TN36-UT is a 7300 lumens flood light, and yes, it's a flood light. I was hoping that it's a thrower! Too bad! The light is indeed super amazing indoor or if you are trying to light up a backyard. It's just WOW and stunning to the eyes to see such brightness from a compact flashlight that is EVEN smaller than a TM26 from Nitecore. The light is just the same design as their TN36 before, nothing much changed in appears, and that I have a problem with. I wish they made it look different, maybe a bezel attachment on top or something? I have trouble finding this light when my TN36 is in the same cabinet!

To my surprise, the light is very warm in color, and the warm is not a bad thing, it just makes the house super warm and cozy, which is a great tone for video and photos! You might want to see how it looks in my video, because I have done some color correction to make sure the color is nice and "real". Hope it shows up well!

Why do we want a 7300 lumens hot potato anyway? I got the answer after a few months using it. Because, we can now have a 3k lumen in the hand without getting our hand grilled. Holding a light that max output 3600lumens is nice, but it gets very hot even after 5mins of usage. With this light, 3k lumen is nothing and it doesn't grill your palm after 15mins of usage. It's a good thing to have if flood light is what you need, and it's definitely a wow-ing light for indoor, factory/warehouse, or other more big but enclosed space. It's stunning, period!

*A side note - I have turned on this light on low mode for over 2 months non-stop right now (except for changing batteries) and it is still working good! :)

I watched your third video, "Beamshot Review".

I have been using the Vinh54 modified TN36UTvn for more than a few weeks. This item occupies a strategic point on the size/power ratio continuum.

Thank you for your review; your upbeat process style brought lots of elevation to my mood. :)

Hey! I was so happy to see this post to learn that you're on CPF :) I've watched so many of your flashlight reviews over on YouTube! I enjoy watching your channel so much, you're so upbeat and enthusiastic about the lights that your videos put me in a happy mood. :twothumbs
Are you really in Canada? That's so cool!

The TN36-UT is so impressive, wow! I'll have to check it out!

Question: Is the TN4A you're using in the video the XP-L HI version? Your hot spot seems quite a bit brighter than mine (TN4A XP-L V6 NW).

Thanks for watching my videos! :) I used to be here but didn't come on the forum for a long time because I was too busy with other things. Now I decided to come again..! Yes my TN4A is the neutral white XP-L HI version, it is a surprisingly powerful thrower for a 4xAA light, but today I found another competitive light that is smaller, yet more powerful and throws like a king, also 4xAA..... Lumintop SD4A! That thing is just stunning for a 4xAA light. It will be reviewed on video soon, I just need to get out in the dark to do it, it's my BEST 4xAA thrower so far and the light can take 1x D cell if needed for emergency,, how cool eh!

Really? You feel the Lumintop SD4A is a better thrower than the TN4A XP-L HI? I'll have to watch for your review then. I don't know much about the Lumintop. The ability to run on a D cell is definitely a great bonus (although I have a ton of AA but no D cell batteries, lol). Thanks and I'll see you over on YouTube! :D

Yes, the best comparison or metaphor is - the TN4A feels powerful but the beam in the air is kind of loose (like fog) and it feels softer, the eyes will automatically think neutral white / yellowish tone is "dimmer" too. The SD4A is white-er and the beam in the air feels like a rock solid beam, very solid beam, if I don't bring out my TM36, I won't even know that there is something more solid than this.. hahaha.. it's pretty insane for such a small light, super dense hotspot...! I wonder the practical usage of this light for campers and home use tho, it's amazing, but impractical for close up or mid range for sure.

I was thinking of buying the TN4A XP-L HI to use at our camp (I already have two TN4A, but not the HI version). I like the soft beam for indoors (I made a flip diffuser for it too, so even softer). It's good outside too but I'd definitely like something that runs on AA that's a bit stronger beam.

I have 18650 lights but AA lights are so practical and easy. You can never have too many AA lights!

You're even comparing it to the TM36?? LOL, now I really can't wait to see your review! Will you film it tonight, by any chance? ;)

I have just done my first impression review with it today, but the beamshot comparison will be done later on when I got the time. It might be raining tonight, so no filmming at night..! booooo!

Giving you a quick preview, the TM36 is nothing you can really replace.. the TM36 is just THE BEST THROWER imo, lol! A lot of other throwers are claimed to have that beam distance, but it just lacks the intensity of the TM36 in my own test. Even the TM16GT is not throwing out such a rock solid beam in the air.

For a SD4A, running on 4xAA, I have to say that it outperforms the Thrunite TN4A in terms of throw power. The light is a bit cooler tone, but definitely stunningly solid beam in the air, it's unbelievable.

not sure if you can see this?

I ordered a TN36UTvn spec 3 v54 light this morning. 12,300 lumen dedomed 60k lux. The stock light is incredible by itself but vinh works magic on his lights.

Check the modders forum here, subforum vinhnguyen54.

Edit: I guess I should have refreshed before I posted. Was watching the videos for about 25 minutes and vinh himself has made his presence felt before i submitted my post lol.

He does that, but he states it is almost always more economical to buy the modded light through him as it comes out cheaper since he gets dealer pricing. Send him an email at [email protected]. Can't hurt to ask.

BTW he does have a light that is over 50,000 lumen.

Thanks ! I might email him and see what he does etc..!
I saw that light on his video before, but not the modded one! Man, youtube is full of hidden dragons, lol! Tons of these genius around but they are not well known or famous or like a super-easy-to-search kinda channel. Not many views, but full of juice in the channel. Some of the easier to find channels are mostly like "sales" of certain brands / stores, not really like a place to go for special knowledge or a review with a true heart. Hard to find good stuff!
