Re: The Lounge

the others came out crummy. These 2 were the best I see. I have a rooted samsing s7 duos with a supposedly modified camera app (that I'm actually reflashing with the superman rom this instant actually). It takes decent night shots compared to, well, all my camera phones but beam shots are a different story.

Heres the rest of Pasadena (OG where are you?)

I think Alex said the same about the s7 camera also.

Honestly, I never had an iphone. I like having a Back button and the lack of customisability (sp?) kept me away from them.

Re: The Lounge

Cool pic and an easy answer, OG is the brighter spot just to the left of centre:D

No apple fan boy, but they have been good to me, user friendly and reliable. Camera is pretty decent as well.................Nikon or Canon...............what you get used to i guess, not what is actually better:)

That's impressive. Basically a TN42vn (or pretty close) but with way more output.

Re: The Lounge

Thank you everyone for your congrats comments! :) It's just a stepping stone. I think I may want to get into security, "Make the Internet safe/great again!" lol
Congrats; networking and security ain't easy.

There are a few people who here who are into Vinh lights and computer networking/security; I know of one person who is into Vinh lights and who also is gm of a computer security forum, and who has 58,016 posts there.

Re: The Lounge

I had a dream this morning, not too horrible. Lol. I was checking for my lights, found out all of my lights are missing. There were about 5 lights on the kitchen counter.

Re: The Lounge

And to think I just got out of IT a couple years ago...

Edit: But to be clear, big congrats on the Network+! Infrastructure and Security are fast moving environments, so the learning will never stop. I didn't work in that area but I regret not keeping somewhat current anyway...

Re: The Lounge

I just discovered another positive thing about the long and cold winter hours of darkness in northern Wisconsin; high output flooder/handwarmers! I just spent some quality time outside with my newly arrived X7vn. It is 19 degrees with NW winds gusting to 30 mph, I ran my X7vn for 12 minutes at 100%; it never backed down, it just kept my bare hands warm and never got too hot. In fact, it was my raccoon Miko; who joined my yellow lab and I playing with flashlights in the field; who got cold and turned back so we had to cut things short. My lab never gets cold, but he always wants to turns back and follow Miko to make sure she gets back home safe. Mans best friend my rear end. Cheers!

Re: The Lounge

Just a quick heads up in case you had a budget quality light you wanted vinh to mod.

Bad news for the Bronte Bt41. Vinh tryed to mod it and blew the driver so light ruined, due to the unique switch drivervn was not possible. budget lights just dont take kindly to modding. Vinh said budget lights just cause to much headache for modding. Due to this Vinh said he wont mod anymore budget quality lights.

i wound still run it by vinh first because im sure some budget lights are modable the boss1vn for example. amazing light.

Don't worry NL, it would be a big truck that carried off all of your lights! [emoji3]

Worth a try Alex, and thanks for passing on the information. That's the trouble with most budget lights isn't it, and why there is another forum that focuses on the DIY improvements more. By the time you have bought the tools to pull them apart and solder it back together, purchased a driver and new LEDs, and thermal paste and resistors, it's no longer a budget light! That's before it's been given some decent heat sinking. To make it worse for Vinh, he's got to charge for his time too. A budget light is not cheaper to mod unfortunately. 🙂

Bottom line, if you love it then do it, but a person who is doing it to save money is probably not an accountant by trade! Do what I do, give the money to Vinh instead and get a good mid priced light made better! [emoji16]

Re: The Lounge

Yeah that's awesome! I've always thought about getting into security but for now have been focusing on other things. I think I could transition into that eventually though with the experience I've been getting so far.
