Yea, he was poking fun, I believe in a joking way, but the comment "(and guys)" was not implying your gay. It was more a general statement about anyone thinking 3rd person is strange.

Personally, I like it. Especially when we all have made up superhero or fighter pilot names, it totally acceptable to bust out 3rd person! But if you talking to someone in real like, probably best to refrain. Haha
