I think it's in our blood as well mr fixer. Some of us are not content with one of, be it a watch, flashlight, knife, Vape mod.....prelude even;). Maybe a little collective disorder in ways 2 is not 1 it's 0!

What ever it takes to help get off the sticks, it's worth it. You will find the right set up, probbaly(like I do) get several just in case you cant get them again. I have come to realise , you can still get pretty much get what ever tank years on(of course with in reason).

With leaks, most of the time it's not enough wick(with rebuildable anyway). I use to try all kinds , don't fill past 1/2 way, don't lie down. Tanks with top air holes help, but leaks then go onto the coil. Had good success with my two Zeus tanks so far. You can turn upside down, lie down and no leak! Yes I tried several times , and demonstrations with fellow work vapers who's tanks leak regular.

Also drag too hard and this draws in too much juice=flood. Air holes open wider, drag a little less hard. So many variables, you will find the fixer sweet spot soon enough. Coils can become over saturated, I use to blow down(not firing it, just blow down)with a tissue wrapped around air holes to purge the extra juice out.

First year was a bit crazy for me, then it died down to maybe a mod or tank a month. Now I can go 6 months even, so it will get better . I do think a good rebuildable will work best for you. You can buy some ore made coils(not like actual coils in their screw housings). But wire coils at different ohms. This way a tank is pretty much a tank(so no need to have lots). Try a different ohm or coil design to suit your Vape style. If not swap out the coil for higher/lower ohm(or two coils if a dual RBA base). Mods wise, for long Vape time then dual cell is better for me. Finding one that fits in the hand nicely , easy UI and display. That's all I need along with reliability . I have a good few mods, but unlike flashlights, I just mainly use a fav 1 or 2. Others stay stored away.

Aplogoies for any missed auto incorrect words .......blasted thing lol

Sorry about the rant. It was 2am again on my 3rd sleepless night in a row. Work drama and all the extra energy from non polluted blood stream. My body is saying "well since you decided to stop polluting me I suppose you don't need sleep".

Rant away vape bro(and flashlight bro). After all its the lounge:)

No fun for sure, i can have rant to about sleep. Last night, watching latest episode of power, my eyes got super tired. Said going bed, all these earlies are catching up!. So around 8.45pm off i went, she said cool, i will read kindle in conservatory. 40mins or so passes, text on phone(could argue it should be on silent or aeroplane mode, but i often get no bother later on so no need). Text, telling me what i knew about reading kindle. Text back 1/2 asleep feeling my blood boil as i awake more telling her DO NOT TEXT ME, I AM TRYING TO SLEEP. Now i noticed it auto un-corrected call in the message, too tired and annoyed i did not bother to correct it myself. So nodding off again, text AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH By this time i must have been hovering a foot out of bed in anger as i type DO NOT TEXT ME DO NOT TEXT ME . Again several minutes, she now annoyed at the fact i said about calling when it was the phone adding words to the text.................BLOCKED! Asleep i went, annoyed and got my own back(knowing her phone was on silent) with a long rant about texting me when i go bed to sleep.

Rant over lol

I have found a platform that works for me right now. For now a single cell modular setup is my desert while a refillable pod is the work horse. It's the tank that'll be my quest for the time being. It's all about the chimney dampen system to me right now. Well.... and leak free.

A very good tank back a few years, still is today and very popular with mouth to lung, Check out the russian 91%(think kayfun also). Now many copies, i would source genuine. Ebay might be a good option, will or might take some searching which i know you enjoy. It is rebuildable, but small coil(little fiddly tbh or what i found). Its mouth to lung, wish i still had it as i would send it your way.

Like i say many copies, this is a genuine one to give an idea on design, drip tip is notably a lot smaller, draw is a lot tighter compared to these new tanks.

Oh snap, if I use that one the US FBI might think I'm colluding with Vlademir Putin.

I'm digging on the Innoken Zenith right now but always open for ideas. That actual unit is limited in some ways such as glass replace, yet after a 5 foot drop last night it didn't need replacing.

My new e-cig mod:
IMG_20180811_150303.jpg

Make America Vape Again.
All the portability of my Penguin with the flavor of a modular system. The Aspire Rover X kit. Maglite simple little deal-ee-o made for MTL users with a 2000 maH cell. Holds 2 or 4 mililitres. I opted to keep it at 2. Top load, top coil setup with an innovative chimney makes it leak PROOF, and no slurpees in the hot sunshine. Has a provision for a wrist lanyard too.

IMG_20180811_145139.jpg

Smaller than the real thing.

IMG_20180811_153728.jpg

This is starting to get ridiculous.
An Aegis 100, an Kroma-A special edition, a top box special edition, Eleaf tank, extra Zenith and lots of juicy e-juice.

Yessssssssssss

I bought the Rover for using at work in the heat, the Aster because just a nice little MTL device designed by MTLr's, and the Aegis for when a hurricane hits and I need 14 watts for about a week. The kids at the vape store joked at my setup saying "dude, with the 26650 you won't need to charge but 3 times a year". lol. The Innokin Kroma is just a cool little device for after work pleasure. My only qualm with it is lack of vent holes for the (suppose-ed) 16650 LiPo4 cell. Perhaps because it is a LifePo4 it don't need vent holes?

Anyway, I'm set for a while other than juice in 5 gallon containers. My brother and I are talking about trying to reproduce some now defunct "Killer Juice" recipes like cherry Coke and steak. Mwew-ah-ah.

Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn I see a 100w aesis. Yet to get! How is it in hand? As with 26650 flashlights(fit like a glove), is the mod the same? I dont need over 30 or even 40w max, most of my vape is 15-25w(even dual clapton coils). Same camo pattern as my 200w, but the gun metal sold it for me haha.

Congrats anyway, hope your enjoying the ride. Now stop spending and enjoy/tweak refine what you have before it becomes endless lol

Yup it's the flashlight feel. It is not much smaller than the 200w version. Kinda like holding a D sized light then a C sized.
I'll get my brother to send me a side by side photo as he has both.

Oh, and there's a firmware update that turns off things not used but running in the background. Supposed to triple battery life. Mine came with the update. 1.2? I think it is also available for the 200 watt version.

Cool, not done any updates, had kind of a hit/miss relationship. Joytech type never an issue, SMOK...................wow now that is another story! pita is an understatement. I find most updates are more for the temp side, as i dont use that(just a general W type of vaper), i try and keep updates to a minimum these days.....................if it works fine out of the box, dont fix what is not broke type.

Let me know after a few days, wont take much of a push to get, just some more justification is always welcome lol.

As you can see from the profile the 26mm cell unit it a bit slimmer.
Front shot shows the extra girth of the 26mm cell makes it a bit wider.

The store got in 20 of black and 20 gunmetal yesterday morning. My brother and I both bought the display model since they had sold all of the others. He had reserved one for each of us. Otherwise they would've been gone already when we got there 20 minutes after they opened today.

11:45 edit:
Don't want to sleep. An urge to explore options is keeping me awake on a Saturday night. Little things I never wanted in a flashlight. Creature features that mostly won't get used like reversable display or stealth mode. I do like the lock feature of the pocket pistol Aspire. Set it and forget it. The Aegis? I'll let my brother tell me what that can do. The Innokin is a click it 3x for on/off. I like that too. And it reminds the user of the 3 colors of battery life are when pushing the fire button.

The pair of E1's are retired. Glitchy UI just aint necessary. I'll stop in the shop that sold them to me to gripe next week. The Kangor sub-box mini got put in the museum along with my Penguin.

I cannot say enough about the Aspire Rover. The battery is pretty simple. Watts or volts. It is setup for non-sub ohm use so it cooks nice n cool between 10 and 16 watts depending on the coil. Read battery sipper. It has a stealth mode. The proprietary battery is stated as the same as my 2000 mAh Penguin. And it has a wrist lanyard feature.. oh and comes with a nice silky neck lanyard.
The included 22mm 2ml Nautilis X tank is so nice. I bought a 4ml glass and coil extension but probably won't use it. It passes air from the top across a coil, does a U turn and passes by a second coil so the longer one puffs on it the more flavor one gets. Yet no slurp and no leaks thus far. Airflow adjustment is also really nice. The only reason it has a base is for contact to the battery and fastening the glass. It's like a cereal bowl and the massive o'rings don't require that perfect balance of loose/tight to stay sealed. (Hopefully others will incorparate that idea.) It has an infinite adjust airflow. The only qualm is a 10mm female tip. You slide it over the stainless chimney. Innokin sized it like a cigarette filter, but being resin it aint the same. Plus it's an odd size in 2018. By sliding over the chimney it stays put without the need for o'rings though, so there is that. And there is a small group of sellers for them.

The Innokin Kroma-A is such a nice size for medium hands. Holds like a 2 cell unit for better grip than a typical 1 cell unit. Some complained about the loose-ish buttons. They rattle ever-so-slightly if placed in a car door etc. I'll explore the options at some point.
The supplied 25mm 4ml Zenith tank has a fool proof filling system. The push in coil is pretty leak resistant and fool proof so no cross threading can take place. The casing around the glass is fixed so if it breaks you're out of luck and washing it can be a chore. But it just works. Super flavor like you spread juice onto your tongue, yet your tongue is dry. Like the Aspire, the longer one puffs it the better the taste. As a kit it balances well, yet feels topheavy compared to bigger boxes that dwarf the typical tank. This one is the same size and with it's low profile seems top heavy. It's not. It's center balanced, which is an unusual feel at first.
The curved 510 tip is my favorite.it may break if dropped as the inside diameter is the same as the typical standard 510.

I put a Zenith tank on the Aegis 100. That box just screams rugged. Again I'll explore the options. But the fire button is superb. And it fires insane-ly fast. I can see the urge to use it as a hammer in desparate times. Like the Innokin the fire button can be activated with a fingertip forward, or on the rear utilizing the curve between thumb and forefinger by pulling the box towards the hand. Everything else feels cheap after holding the rubberized on one side, leatherette on the other with the heft of metal underneath.
It comes with a massive 26650 cell. But it needs to be charged in a charger, not a cord plugged into the box. The USB port is hidden. One unspoken feature is the battery vent system. It has a plastic cover over the vent holes. If pressure builds enough a pin pops the thin plastic cover. It comes with a spare vent hole cover. Another nice feature is it comes with an 18650 adapter. It has been said that it can even use some 20mm cells. This one is appropriately named the Legend.
No flashy lights, not bells or whistles in the display. Just an easy to read area with basic information. Probably requires shade to read it outdoors.

Mrs. Fixer has opted for a Kangor K-pin and a Vapresso Cascade One puff the magic dragon capable little monster. Both nice little setups. Both for direct lung vapes. She's coughed more than Cheech & Chong since trying out the Cascade. Both have built in battery supply but the Cascade is stated as 3000 mAh. 1500 for the K-pin. The K-pin is fixed airflow and can double as an MTL device. Well, so can the Cascade but when wide open throttle is capable of monster clouds with the sub-ohm coils. Both have wide bore tips. The Cascade has a replaceable 510 type. I believe the tank on the Cascade can be replaced by a 22mm type. But I'll check into that.

Welp it's nearly 1am and my eyes are blurry. I'll add pix after sunrise. Goodnight CPF.

Glad your liking the geekvape, yes no charge option on the 100w as there is for the 200w version. But i dont use these features on any of my mods(call it an emergency back up option if i need to charge......not needed yet! I am old school, same with flashlights, cell out and in a charger so i can see what is what.

The dual cell charging mods are pretty trick, independent cell charging, monitored again independently. More of a nice to know than a need for me.

Yes 18650 can be used no problem with the 100w, i am sure you get a spacer ring to fit around the cell to take up the slack. But the benefit of say 5000mah over 3000mah makes using 18650 more of an emergency option than a must for me.

As for locking, its 5 clicks, soon get use to it. I always lock mine inbetween vape time in work or when it goes in my pocket. Trust me its a good practice to get into with all mods, nothing worse(trust me again haha) of hitting that fire button and it has been adjusted to max 160w or more.........You will realise how good your reactions are. It is instant like 0.000001 seconds of inferno burn! Coil/s are as good as dust, if even started to inhale its pain and all things horrendous. So yes, lock out if in pocket or any time its not going to be vaped for any length of time.

3 clicks is menu, this you can change to temp control(i just use W mode) and other options like different coil metals(ti.ss nickel etc iirc). Now , holding the + and - on the 100 and 200 geeks locks the adjustment, think hold for a few seconds, repeat to unlock. I always lock my variable power if its available to do so(see previous paragraph lol). Holding trigger and + or trigger and - when unlocked changes screen brightness. The colour changes(just red/blue /green i think) are done in the 3 click menu as well.

Its pretty easy UI, not too deep like some of the UI available, The DNA chip set is the king of customisation, you can change and tweak everything inc your back ground pic. As with most of my flashlights, i want to click and have light, with vape its similar(yes i have a mod box with a torch to), i just want to vape, not click adjust and faff about. Simple just works best most of the time for me.

The SMOK genie which is pretty cool, 20700x 2 fed
uOBTHx4l.jpg

Op side of the power button is another, it takes 3 fast clicks, its got 3 levels of brightness from the dual LED's. This does not interfere nor effect vaping being seperate. If it gets pressed, torch wont come on, 3 fast clicks for light.

Yeah the 100 is a great back up for the big box fans.

I'm learning a lot of history of the vape too. Like with early LED flashlights I missed an entire generation of vapes. Back when I vaped before e-cig-a-likes was all there was. And like early LED lights... they sucked. But thanks to a few pioneers we now have choices.... lots and lots of them. WOW, do we have choices. It seems like the Kanger Tech company is becoming the Maglite of vapes in that they are seen as lagging. Yet they, like Maglite really made a big difference not long ago history-wise.

There seems to be a ton of names, most of which are new to this rookie. And like with flashlights there are a few prized brands I'll likely avoid. Politics aside they just don't interest my way of vaping. I've always taken small drags from cigarettes, not inhaling very deep. So my vape style mimics that. My brother says "that'll change in time".... uh, no it won't. He draws in for 3 seconds and chokes. Screw that.

Mrs Fixer does the direct lung thing so her setups will be different than mine and her airflow will be also. We're tossing around the idea of zero nicotine juices in her vapes as she just enjoys the flavor. She has a few cigs a day so the added nicotine rubs against her sober psyche-e and she's not digging the buzz from vaping.

 i am glad your not calling mrs fixer a dinosaur :twak:

I forgot to mention about tank protectors , but yep, they help for sure against clumsiness(like i practice at a high level). Thats a proper compact set up with the olight lanyard..................perfect for on the move(pocket carry).

Going outta town for a few days. Which vapes? Which vapes?
I have yet to unbox a Kangor top box mini so that's going. My mini mod is going to be tried as an EDC and the Innoken Kroma kit too. The 100w Legend? Most definitely. In the meantime I've been mixing flavors since Friday and have a couple of recipes in enough quantity settled in to enjoy all week. The straight stuff is going too. My work horse brew is a strawberry cigarette flavor'd batch I'll puff on all day and the fruit blends in the evenings. The tobacco is a cigarette tasting 50/50 with a hint of 70/30 strawberry and a bit of strawberry milk shake after taste from a few drops of a max VG butter/pecan/almond tobacco. It was 48 hours between inception and production. A tweak in the heat makes it change so I also found my sweet spot watts-wise.
The fruity stuff is still aging so tomorrow I'll dial that in.
That can be a grape, a lime, a green apple, a strawberry etc or a nice blend depending on watts. Turn it down for sweet, turn it up for tangey.

IMG_20180813_180831.jpg

Time to relax with some ice cold orange soda and nice cool grape vape.

IMG_20180813_180704.jpg

The lineup R to L
Aspire Rover X with Nautilis X tank loaded with a blend of tobacco, strawberry and butter pecan almond tobacco.
A Joyetech Penguin with a special blend of strawberry tobacco.
Innokin Kronos with Innokin Zenith tank loaded with a special blend of green apple, strawberry, white grape, purple grape, guava, mango and peach.
Geek Vape Aegis 100 with Innokin Zenith tank loaded with purple grape.
In the back are flavors for the week.
All are setup as MTL's using 1.6 ohm socc's and 14 watts of power.

Basically the pocket sized units go to the construction site for an all day swap back and forth of flavors instead of smoking.

The Geek Vape and Innokin set on a coffee table for after hours enjoyment.

Good stuff, where a little variety is key in vaping. Yes we do end up with the perfect combo which is the vape (after a while). By back ups, spares, flavours at had are also just as important.

Almost, heck maybe as quickly as the smart phone, what is new/latest and greatest this month, is almost old hat the next. Quick fire, up to maybe 100w us nice but not needed(think 230 my SMOK goes up to:duh2:. But larger or dual cells are a must for me now. Now try and hold off or dont look at more mods to save money like i have to lol. Use what you have and start some saving. That 100w should see you right for 12 months+ before some kind of mental justification tells you " get searching dude, there will be something better out". Guess there always will, i have like the look of this brass mod steam punk style

With smartphones, I use the one I like until it fails to work. So battery boxes will likely be the same. I suppose the Aegis will be like an iPhone in that it'll last year after year.

My quest has been for a tank system that suits my needs. One that doesn't leak.... at all. Yet my style of taking a puff requires a system that un-spent juice drains back into the tank, and not down the chimney into the air flow chamber.
I take small drags. That leads to unspent liquid hanging around the airflow chamber.

In the Aspire Nautilis X tank air begins at the top, is drawn down across a pair of coils and back up the chimney. The top fill/top coil/top draw system has one issue. Sometimes the coil stays attached to the top and when you remove it to add fluid. When the coil setup does that it allows fluid to get between the contact to the battery (inside the tank) and the coil pack. This then requires the user to empty the tank and clean the contact area.

A worthwhile trade off to light puffers like me. Folks who burn up a tank of liquid often would find that a horrible thing. Fastening the coil at the base tight enough to stay when removing the top means tough to remove it from the bottom later.

I'm on day 3 of a tank fill and battery charge. And the tank is at least 80% full. Battery at about 95% full. Very efficient system this Aspire Rover X and Nautilis X tank.

I can highly recommend to you Vaporesso Polar 220W TC. After a few years of vaping I found this purchase one of the best I did. I mean it very powerful and easy to use. I was surprised it is in the top of best box mods. So the seller knew a lot and sold to me the right thing.
If you don`t know what kind of vape to buy - highly recommend) :twothumbs
