These posts have been very informative. It sounds like there's next to zero advantage in running higher discharge rate cells with the Micro and flat whites. Capacity is "were it's at" with the Micro W1.1

Yes, and I know Vinh ships cells with a light purchase but if someone just needs cells, I've seen good reports on the Shockli cells too.

Kind of answering my own questions but maybe this is why... The White 2.1 does 1100L, 135Kcd

It's picking up 400L and only losing 15Kcd compared to the W1.1

Worthy trade I imagine given the small difference, you could likely pick the 400 lumen difference easier than the 15kcd

Possibly but iirc, the Osram whites, might not benefit much from increased current but the extra capacity is always welcome. I know that SKV89 posted some recent 14500 cell numbers but I believe that was a stock Mircro with XPL HI, which will benefit from some additional current. I'll have to go look at his data points again since he always does a nice job with that stuff.

Thanks for the W1.1 brass micro! While it didn't get specs, it definitely looks like it has a Fiax Lux perfectly shaped beam. 4 very crisp and evenly shaped flower petals surrounding the hotspot-- a thing of beauty!
