I noticed what seems to be a minor inconsistency.
PreonVN got rated R but BetaVN didn't. The clicky is what makes the difference in this light. Finally we have a tiny forward switch light that some actually use as a back up tactical light. I sold so many PreonVN but only 2 BetaVN so far. Also there so countless keychain twisty out there to compete but few clicky so this one stands out.

Thought performance is the same. Is this an omission or maybe there is actually a reason why beta lacks the R?

Also my "R"ecommended is purely subjective....Some lights does not have an R sells very well while light with R does not. ahha

Vinh, I just wanted to thank you for another perfect light. I can't stop using it.. haha!

This EDC combo comes in at under 8oz. or 224grams to be exact. Pretty cool!

How is thermal transfer? I thought this light didn't have direct thermal path from the LED to the body?

I actually think I prefer the Toolvn, if only for the reverse switch. The feel of the switch on my PreonVN is not as positive and feels mushy. Also makes it a bit difficult to switch modes, can't seem to always get a reliable click

Nice! I have the exact same one. I EDC it everywhere and rarely feel that I need anything larger.

I am a huge fan of simple looking lights with not too much design details. This one is one of the most elegant. The tool design is the true classic to me though despite less elegance.

I also got a Toolvn AA from the classifieds here with the same W2. Pretty much all ive carried is either one of these since I got them, I really like the W2 emitter. I think the Preon format (nice clip, forward clicky, etc.) in 14500 would be best of both worlds.

1313, thanks for the grip ring idea. I don't know why I didn't think of this on my own but the clicky pressure is so heavy that the light definitely slips a little when I'm not holding it tightly. I'm going to find a fat o-ring that fits the body just right.
