Need help deciding….Armytek Viking/Predator Pro V2.5 or V3.0?

I am in the market for this flashlight from Armytek. I am still deciding between the Viking Pro and the Predator Pro, but more importantly, my main concern is the real world difference between the lower light output of the v2.5 versus the higher light output of the newer v3.0. The programmability of the v2.5 is very appealing. On paper, the difference in lumens between the 2.5 and the 3.0 is huge, but is it that much of a difference in actual output and throw? I found a Predator Pro v2.5 with the XP-G2 LED, but before I buy it, I would like to know if the light output/lumens of the new v3.0 is worth giving up all the programmability of the older v2.5. i have both versions and my preference is for the programmable as i like to start off in low. If you want it for a tactical light or for checking things out in the yard and don't care about the low settings, then go for the newer version.

As for the differences between the predator and the viking, the viking is a little floodier. The predator has better throw, but personally i prefer the barracuda with single cell tube over the predator for throw.

Thanks for the feedback. Could you describe the real world difference in light output and throw between version 2.5 and 3.0? I realize the customization is a huge part of the 2.5 unit, but i would like to know if the light output and throw is really that much less than the 3.0 version.
