Gene's got 'em, just had an excellent conversation with him about current goals and such, sounds like we are all on the same page! He's going to put them on the bench and start some science! Will update when we have more solid numbers.

OK everyone, we have hit a slight speed bump. In my naivete the SST-20 660nm LEDs are SMD-3, not SMD-2 like Gene's boards for the M61.

This should be a quick fix, however! There is an XP-G3 660nm with a high flux of 530mW~, and an SST-10 660nm with 300mW~ flux.

Their forward voltages are both pretty low, the CREE is at 1.99V and a touch lower, I'm leaning towards this. I am going to consult further with Gene (I have sent him these LEDs as well to view) and will make the best decision from there. Input welcome, I'm going to refer to my Chiefs of Staff down @ Malkoff for executive decision, I believe. Which ever LED matches output/ efficiency compared to the SST-20 660nm will be the pick.
