I am considering purchasing this HDS Ti rotary light but would like to know the LED specs. Any help would be great, thanks.

At all it is important if crossing the beams that the brain may create some wrong color impressions.
Even great LED colors may look awful with the "matching" light color for compare.

Ok so it sounds like it is listed below

NB45 29
NC57 7
250 lumen 2
300 lumens 6
325 4

Guessing it is in the "250 lumen 2" group?

Would this be it off HDS site??

250 lumens Less...
This LED produces a calibrated 250 lumens. The cool white output is around 6200°K, making it somewhat cooler than sunlight at noon. This LED has a color rendering index (CRI) of around 72. Emitter: Cree XP-G2.

Thank-you so much........... saved me some $$ and massive disappointment.

The search continues for a unicorn. Luckily for me as they were the most made.

Aaaah now I see it. It is a picture of a titanium (???) HDS. There are also NB40 and NB35 Titanium rotaries if I remember correctly.
The Titanium Clicky has also two Ti Clickies that were updated officially by HDS with the NC57. If I remember correctly, RCS1300 has the first one an I have 2nd one.

Sorry, I edited the OG post..... should have included that Info.... Yes, a HDS Ti Rotary.

"""The Titanium Clicky has also two Ti Clickies that were updated officially by HDS with the NC57. If I remember correctly, RCS1300 has the first one an I have 2nd one."""

You guys have the LAST Ti clickys to be altered by HDS. I recently acquired a Ti Clickly with the intent of a HDS upgrade. Only to be told that HDS no longer offers that service! I am now stuck with a outrageously stupid expensive light with 2009 technology that is not upgradeable. This post saved me from making ANOTHER HDS Ti mistake. I strongly prefer the 4,000-4,500 temp range in high Cri. Especially in my "grail" lights. My plan was to EDC the upgraded Ti Clicky, now I am just frustrated. I will stop here as it is ALWAYS stupid to "bite the hand that feeds you" knowing HDS is really the only lights I truly trust / use.

Your lights are now above a "Unicorn", not sure what that would be, but its something. Enjoy....

That is some information I did not know. I was thinking it is still possible to order the Ti Clicky upgrade @HDS.

But at all the Ti Clicky is a really great light. I also like the golden dragon LED and the light color. It is a great light, and also a piece of history. I own a NC57 modified and a original Ti Clicky. I would not say the updated one is the better one.
Even if the electronics is from 2009, it is still a great light and it is working perfectly. I also like the tint of the golden dragon. It is a nice creamy white.
The good point with all HDS lights is this are all no High power devices. Therefore it is not that important if the LED and electronics are on the edge or a few years old.

If you don't like you Ti Clicky and it is in a very good shape, and the price is reasonable, contact me and I will offer this Ti Clicky a new home in the (I guess) largest special Metal HDS family existing on this planet.

I agree with you that the HDS special metal versions are far from cheap (no matter if Clicky or Rotary). But this light are that cool. I love them all. Also the Bronze rotary is great, even if the knurling is not perfect at all.

I do love the Ti clicky... I just had other plans for it. I also could never recoup what I spent............. guessing the most paid to date. I do feel like the "value" of the Ti clicky is significantly diminished now that they are NOT upgradeable and relegated to museum curio piece instead of a modern EDC. My "investment" value is gone. However I really do enjoy it. If you took it out with no other light it can totally satisfy my needs UNTIL I light up a modern light. Well, I now know I much prefer warmer tints and high cri. It just HAD so much perceived potential with the upgrade. That is now gone forever....

Oh well, I will just waite until the next HDS Ti comes out.................... yep, it may be a few years or never.... depending how long HDS keeps its doors open.

The Ti is a fun very fun light with unique and preferred build (love Ti), but it could have been so much more.............. thanks for the help.............

Anyone know a good person to modify a pristine HDS Ti clicky?? :)

I am glad you love your Ti Clicky. In your previous post I had the feeling you do not like the Ti Clicky really. Therefore my offer :) A Ti Clicky must be loved and at least one of the favorite light in a flashlight collection.

I was searching a little bit. That is my Ti Clicky with NC57:

Also good to know that is NC57 Ti Rotary is kind of special since it is one of a very few lights that were updated by HDS. I am sure there were only a handful lights ever updated.

I also have some small advice. If you are interested getting a Ti Rotary, keep on searching. My bet on a 3rd Ti run is that this will take >4 years, or never.
When the Ti Clicky came out, I was thinking about getting one, but the ~$700 was too much to me. When I decided getting one, all were gone. Than my idea was waiting for the 2nd run, that than took almost 10 years. But I was in the lucky situation getting one in the WTS section years ago and the 2nd one a year ago.
The Ti Clicky is great. I love the old style knurling. I am Happy having one with original LED and electronics and one with the most current electronic and NC57. High Noon is a great LED.

I hope you will get you Ti Rotary soon. In case I see one I will give you some information.

Thanks, I do really love the build of the Ti clickly............. It is an amazing light... been in arms reach since I got it. I am truly enjoying it,,,,,,,, just a bit of regret that the upgrade is no longer an option. The OG Golden Dragon LED really holds it own against the modern stuff in throw... not overall "spread"....... But very useable. Back in the day it would have been phenomenal.

I am not going to hold out for a Next gen Ti rotary. It will be a ways off (we all know how HDS moves... like a glacier) ... if ever. I would have paid the price for the light that started this thread but it is MY least desirable LED option............ Yep, my opinion but if I am paying the coin I get to decide what the "worth" is to ME. No disrespect to others preferences intended, I just have my preferences.

I still would love a Ti Rotary in almost any other LED than the one offered/ shown...+ the "deal" was truly a mind blowing $$$$. More than I have ever seen asked.......................

I was actually considering acquiring another Ti clicky and having one OG and one upgraded for EDC........ like you..... But no need for another OG clicky......... I am focused on a Ti ROTERY.. with the "right" LED and a reasonable $$.

The hunt for the unicorns continues..

Any tips/ leads are always appreciated

.

Those darned glaciers zipping like they have some place to be in a hurry. Dangerous those things... moving that fast. HDS likes to take its time... we prefer to measure it in terms of the universe.

Yep, and the bin is 2R51D, should be 250lm.

At all nice option, it is cool white, but not blue'ish. I have this light option.
I'm guessing it's in-house coding where the 2 is for XP-G2, R5 is the efficiency bin and 1D is the temp/tint or chromaticity bin in Cree speak.
