Nice review. I have a similar set up for dog walking. F89/NB45. I use all the modes - main one is flash for visibility on the road at night. I like the rotary too though.

Love the 18650 but rarely need the extra juice, to be honest. As per the entire rediculous clip thing, I literally never need a clip. Why ruin perfect?

Sheaths are the clear answer and the aftermarket kydex is great also.

The stink was huge. It is like the stink with mismatched natural HA. People forget.

I wonder if some of these people buy a new hammer from the hardware store and break out in a cold sweat when they notice the head is scuffed.

On a different note, I found a new home for my original cool white Rotary. The flash mode works well during daytime to draw attention to me on the road (and it's not as obnoxious as the strobe). It also serves to illuminate my path in marginal lighting conditions, though for night rides, I prefer my Surefire G2 because it's brighter and has incredible throw.

Speaking of bicycle lights...since the Clicky will eventually go away, may I suggest the next Bicycle Light have a variable speed strobe setting which utilizes the rotary dial to adjust the speed?

If there were, I would have already said.
Machine shop has now sent 2 different samples after sending the 3k that failed, and both the newer samples failed. Waiting on the third sample.
(insert explicatives that would make a mule driver or 1960's DI blush). I simply don't understand why so many machine shops just don't/can't build a part to spec. Is it the "new math" they are teaching in schools or just general incompetence in the industry? This has been a common theme and can't be blamed on Covid and delays. It is pure incompetence. While our regular machinist is slow, he at least can read a drawing, do the math, and make parts to spec.

Hi, all. I doub... triple-checked: when asked about its software, my clicky answers 00011001-00000010-00010011, or 25-2-19 decimally speaking (yes, the last digit is a 1). If I understand correctly, my light, purchased in early September from a European dealer, has a 250 lm emitter and runs version 2.19. The FAQ ultimately lists version 2.18. Does my light come from the future? Is it counterfeit? Should I quad-check? Did Henry recently release a version 2.19? If yes, does anybody know what are the differences? Thx!

It is possible that Henry made a new version and it has not been added to the site yet, but the flashlight is very cool, congratulations!

Given that this is an ongoing issue... perhaps he needs a design change so that the parts aren't so hard and expensive to machine?

Oh, and screw holes also.

If multiple imported lights can be made for peanuts.... seems clear HDS could also. I'm comparing apples to apples also (conductive inner circuit for battery negative inside battery tube, rotary switches, waterproof, advanced electronics, etc).
