Ok, first of all I apologize. Ever since CPF moved to the new site I stopped getting notifications about comments via tapatalk or the CPF app, if anyone knows how to fix that please let me know.
Ok, one more apology, I haven't kept ya'll up to date, I was focusing on facebook and forgot to update the thread. Yes, I started shipping these out, but there's a bit of a catch, I'll just copy paste my FB update:
About two weeks ago the machinist informed me that he noticed inconstancies in the anodizing on some of the heads.
Well, I got them all in hand last week so I can inspect them all and see what's going on first hand. It's a minor issue and a bit weird. Only visible in direct sunlight or by direct light, there are inconsistencies in the shade of black, with what looks like slightly darker smudges or spots. It appears to be purely cosmetic, and severity varies. Over 50% of them don't have any flaw at all, and the remaining that do have it varies from one small spot on an edge of a chamfer to a few spots on the side of the reflector housing.
As a consumer and collector, it's not really something I would've cared about. As a brand with the mission of delivering a perfect product and making sure everyone is taken care of, it's not 100% perfect.
I began shipping these on Monday. It's been delayed long enough and while the first mission I mentioned is important, so is the second one and I can't say I'm taking care of all of you if delays continue. In 3 weeks from now (due to the machinists prior commitments and workload) we're going to produce another batch of HDSRB reflector housings and sending them to all of you at my expense so I can feel comfortable the first mission was achieved as well.
If you receive your HDSRB and don't want the replacement housings later, please let me know. Otherwise I plan on shipping out the replacements to everyone by default. I felt this approach is more customer friendly than doing the opposite and asking you to contact me if you want the replacement.
Anyway, that's a lot of words. In short, HDSRB has begun shipping! If you have questions, concerns, or general feedback feel free to contact me.
Also, a couple people expressed interest in a patch with this logo, any takers here?

Im looking forward to getting this into my hands and to use it at work. Regarding the inconsistent finish, I don't plan on babying this, and I'm sure it will quickly begin looking like the light it's going to be on
And I would definitely take one of those patches. Just a random idea, what about another one with just the light itself and a beam of light coming out of it?
