I kinda want a new light, even though my "needs" are well-covered.

I'm here to be enabled, not talked out of it.

Show me the lights you bought because of lapses in budgetary discipline. The more pictures, the better.

SolarForce L2T Stainless edition. Don't have a current photo, but this is from another thread.

I'm not a big spender compared to most on this forum, but that's probably my most "impractical" light, and wasn't cheap compared to the aluminum versions. Stainless steel is lousy for heat transfer, so no high-power LED drop ins (I used a high-output 3.7V incan). It's really heavy; would be good for a glass-breaker or other bludgeoning uses, but lousy for carrying around.

So why did I buy it....?

Because it's shiny!! 😯

(I like stainless steel)

If your needs are met, then I'd say go for some showy "bling" type that strikes your fancy. Doesn't have to cost hundreds of dollars; there are some neat copper or brass lights out there that aren't too costly, which I'm frequently tempted by...

Not showy or blingy, but definitely not a necessary purchase. Being that the drop in was gifted to me and I just bought the body and head made it easier to justify, but an impulse purchase for sure.

On the advice of a great friend, I recently picked up a Wurkkos TS-10. For the money, everyone should have one. 4000k, red aux led's, has a great moonlight mode and the aux emitters act like trits to find it in the dark. Stellar nightstand light, solid small edc choice.

Byk- I was boring, went with the black. Lol.

(Edit- It tailstands nicely, and the firm but positive e-switch is textured to make it easier to identify in your pocket. Good stuff...)

My most recent impulse buy was a Surefire G2X pro in Tan. That dang Amazon had them on sale for $59.
LOL
I bought a tan one. Then another tan one, then another one to stay in the package. A couple of blacks one later I finally stopped buying them once the yellow one arrived. All but the yellow one were impulse buys. I planned to buy the yellow one. Back then they were $55.

My last impulse buy was on Black Friday at Big 5 Sporting Goods. Got a 3500 lumen Litezall usb rechargeable lantern that acts as a powerbank ( 2 x 3200 mAh 18650s built in for power supply). Was half off for $20. Should do nicely for camping and charging on solar. Disposable batteries are so expensive now, it's cheaper to buy a rechargeable light each time I need a 14 pack of Ds from Costco ($21 now).
