'twas about 7:30 am on a winter morning, at around 43-44ºN. Very clear and sunny morning, no tall buildings nearby.
I always used mine with NiMH's, just recharged them every month or so as a matter of custom, not 'cuz I noticed any dimming.
That thread never got anywhere, BTW. I got busy finishing school and fell of that bandwagon.
