Using Solar Power to Recharge Flashlights

I put this in the "homemade" area, because I'm "rolling my own" with these solar panels. If need be, move it.

Using Solar Power to Recharge Flashlights

I've got a question for some of you experts. I do a lot of camping without electricity. And I often have the need to recharge my flashlights (I have several that come with both ac and dc chargers. I hooked an old rechargable spot light up, directly up to a 3.2 watt solar panel ... and it...

    Inova X5 ... Red LEDs ... single 123

Same exact size as a two 123 Inova light. I actually purchased nine (9) bright white Inova X5's from the good folks at CountyComm for my son to give as groomsmen gifts. One of my friends saw them ... and ask me to find him a blue LED. I was looking at eBay for a blue LED X5, because...

    Inova X5 ... Red LEDs ... single 123

Danke Bernhard! Wie gehts? The eBay ad said the XT was the "Tactical" which I thought meant the new style light. I agree. The spacer was a shock! A noisy shock! And I'm not surprised it would lower the runtime. How come I didn't read about this before on CPF????

    Inova X5 ... Red LEDs ... single 123

Whoops ... not a clicky switch, sorry ... it's a similar thumb-press "momentary" on or twist-all-the-way-in-to-turn-on. That part is similar to my other Inova X5. It was the single 123 battery that threw me for a loop. Craig, since the RED LED model comes with a single 123 battery, will it...

    Inova X5 ... Red LEDs ... single 123

I purchased a supposedly new Inova X5, red LEDs on eBay and just received an old style case X5, red LEDs ... that runs with only one(1) 123 battery, not two. I guess I can live with the old style case (although the clickie switch makes a loud springy noise.) I'm not sure about the single 123...

How to become a reviewer ?

    >>you that get units sent to them by companies for review If this is your primary goal ... i.e. get free flashlights ... it probably isn't going to happen any time soon. It takes years to build up any kind of reputation ... but more importantly, it takes a passion for the product. Another...

    AA MiniMag Collection

Roy ... wouldn't you be better off emailing her your credit card number and expiration? That way they could make the charge in Swiss franks ... which your credit card would convert to US dollars on your statement. You would also get a close-to-institutional exchange rate that way. I would...

    Republican/Democrat/Other...

Republican all the way. Why? Easy. Republicans have all the money. How else can I afford an RV and a Flashlight collection? I mean if I were one of those touchy-feelie, share the wealth ... well, next thing you know, the flaming liberals would want me to share my flashlight collection with...

    AA MiniMag Collection

Looking at the website link ... I think the 2AA maglights are on sale for $38 SF ... which is about US$28. Ouch! Factor in SF$33 shipping (about US$25) and you are going to really have to want them, Roy (and I know you do!). Also, this is buyer beware stuff ... I mean, the website leads one...

    AA MiniMag Collection

Well, the place lists on the website they have Pink 2AA maglites ... and confirm via email they have Pink 2AA maglites ... guess one of us has to work up enough nerve (and trust) to just order a couple of pink 2AA flashlights and see what we get. Do we have any Swiss members of CPF?
