What brand of rcr123's is everyone using?

Hello all, I've been a long time user of the black AW ICR Protected rcr123 (16340) 750mAH batteries but they still don't seem to be available. I can't wait any longer and need to buy something comparable for my Haiku. What kind of batteries are you using with similar performance and stability...

    How To: McClicky Switch disassembly

Switch disassembly: remove o-ring and boot: remove switch from tail of light with snap ring pliers or similar: Using something small, a flat head screwdriver here, gently pry these metal tabs away from plastic. Be careful not to pry too much as it only takes a little bit of movement to release...

    Normal operation?

I agree, I've been using these switches for years and have never had any issues whatsoever. I'll post pictures of the disassembly process for those who would find it useful. Eala, glad you got yours working!

    Normal operation?

Thanks for the reply Don, I figured the switch was serviceable but didn't want to break it without another one on hand. I did a simple continuity test on the switch and it did indeed seem to be breaking contact between the half press and full press. I work in an electronics field so I felt...

    Normal operation?

Thank you Hombreluhrs! I just verified voltage at 4.171 4.185 and 4.192. The other 2 batteries are on the charger now. Cleaned contacts, adjusted switch, still does it. Might order a switch to see if that solves the problem.

    Normal operation?

I thought that was it the first couple of times but have tried 5 different fully charged batteries and it still does it.

    Normal operation?

Hey guys, just wondering if this is normal operation for my Haiku. If I lightly press the switch on high mode, then fully press from there (not letting go from the light press) it switches to low. This doesn't happen every time but it does happen quite frequently. This is a pretty new light and...

    Torture Test S&W 9 LED

Curb weight on the Element is around 3400 lbs, H2's and 3's are between 5-6k. I do have another friend here with his Avalanche which is about 5400 lbs, thats in the Hummer range. I'll see if he'll let me do another test with the big truck. I honestly didnt think the 15.00 dollar light would...

    Torture Test S&W 9 LED

A friend and I decided to see if his Smith & Wesson Galaxy 9 LED would last being run over by a Honda Element. Well, surprisingly, it did. Here are the (poor quality, sorry) pictures.

Help me find a new light

Alright, so I have an extra 75.00 bucks to spend and I want a new flashlight of course. I am looking for a new single 123A cell light. I currently have a Novatac 120p, and Surefire L1 for my 1 cells. I am looking for something with multiple output levels and throw like the L1 but maybe smaller...
