    Orbtronic 21700, 18650 and 16340s

I bought six of the Orbtronic 16650 cells nearly two years ago, and they're all working fine. The positive and negative terminals still look good without that cruddy aged look that some batteries get. I've also got a pair of their 18650 cells that are a bit older than that, and they still...

Who makes the most expensive flashlights?

Oh that's cool. I've heard of Windlass because I recently have been watching a YouTube channel by Matt Easton (scholagladiatoria). There was recently a batch of six or so historic replicas that Matt worked with Windlass to develop. I really want that 15th C. two-handed sword but I don't...

    One is none

I do like the completely smooth flood "mule" type of light from my cell phone emitter. It made me wish I had bought one of those little 4-sevens Atom lights back in the day. However, the ol' Scotch tape on the lens trick gets pretty close on some lights. I will say that I wouldn't want to...

    One is none

Yeah, I'm a bit sad that the cell-phone light has become almost universal among everyone now. Used to be that in any given group, the flashaholic was the ONLY person who would have a light of any kind! Firing up a flashlight during a sudden blackout just doesn't have the same impact when...

What is the largest EDC you've ever carried?

In the past I have EDC'd fairly large 18650 lights like the Fenix TK11 or a Solarforce, but there were definite drawbacks. When carried in a jeans pocket, the size of the light quickly caused wear on pants material where the light constantly protruded as I sat, squatted, climbed ladders, etc...

Who makes the most expensive flashlights?

And we're gonna need a picture of that blade! :D (unless you just don't want to of course)

Who makes the most expensive flashlights?

8 Grand for the Tri-V..... I have known and read about those things on occasion here on CPF over the years but I had NO idea it cost that much. Just WOW. IMHO that falls into the category of someone who literally has more money than they know what to do with. I imagine most of us would come...

In the USA is it legal to cuss out a cop?

It's very very simple. Don't screw with the cops. Don't argue with the cops. It's "yes sir no sir thank you sir" for the duration of the encounter. Obey their instructions. The street is not a court of law, you won't win your legal argument by the side of a road against a cop. He'll haul...

In the USA is it legal to cuss out a cop?

Are you frickin serious?! Ya know, it is legal to smash yourself in the face with a hammer. Do I recommend doing it?? NO.

    A flashlight to teach morons?

I would seriously doubt that the police would do anything about stuff like this. I know a guy who came home to find his house robbed and guns stolen. He called the cops and they didn't show up until like 4 hours later. Obviously it wasn't a big priority for them. Cops don't show up to a car...

    A flashlight to teach morons?

<off topic> Wow, in my other post the forum is censoring the word "****"? Maybe "pee" works instead?? This is especially weird because just the other day I saw a post with the word **** (as in fornicate) in it and that was not censored. What?!?

Name the most important thing you have found out in your life!

While I never condone animal abuse, I've found that some dogs are just a-holes and slapping them senseless is pretty much the only way to get them to quit messing with you. Heck, I know a lot of people who would benefit from the same treatment!!

    A flashlight to teach morons?

I have found that the idea is not to completely block/eliminate the sound so that you don't hear it at all (that's virtually impossible by any normal means); rather, the goal should be to reduce the amount of sound you hear down to a level that doesn't trigger such a powerful stress response...
