Unusual Surefire E2D lens: Did Surefire offer these?

Same logic as why they used it in the U2. And the same reason an egg is stronger on the top and bottom, instead of the sides. A rounded glass lens is harder to break than a flat one. They still use it on the U2, but I guess due to the smaller size of the E-series, it wasn't much of an issue...

    Any TW4 fans anymore?

If you think the Lux-V KL4 was hot on one cell, you should see how hot it got on two...I left it on for awhile when we had a power outage in Iraq...nearly burnt my hand when I when to grab it to turn it off.

Those were some nice lights. Another variation of the M981's was the Leopard Light...basically a 12volt weapon mounted for sniper rifles, designed for target ID/distraction. The best upgrade would be to add a Malkoff MD60 LED drop-in.

I know that they made the first real weapon mounted lasers. This came along the same time the one for the M-16, which was built specifically for the LAPD. No idea what they may be worth, but I'm guessing roughly $4,000, if yer talking about the boom-stick and the laser. The laser mounted on...

Wow Rat...that M4 is sexy!!! Not only the cross hairs, but I like that 40's look that the flat bezel turbo-heads give those lights. Nice lights James...that KL2 looks better on yer lights than it did on mine :0) That M2 is awesome as well!

Yes, it is the famous A00180. Luckily I got a replacement, though not nearly as nice. I was able to get a tailcap on the specific model of LU10. If you look at it in the "Compatability Diagram" pic, you'll notice that it has just a hair more space below the threads, which allows you to get...

    Old-School Surefire's...Let's See Them!!!

Re: Old school weapon light Nice lights! I like that 8X...never seen that bezel before either! Looks a lot older than most of the 8X's I've seen on here, so it may be worth a bit, especially considering the excellent condition. Minus the bezel that appears to be a bit bent, but nice none...
