    C/D Maglite head protection

Maglite makes a D cell accessory pack that includes a rubber slip-on anti-roll device that holds any of the three included colored lenses which fit against the bezel rim. Protecting both the rim and existing lens. Also providing quick colored lens change. It has worked well for my purpose...

Blackhawk holster for Surefire M6 question

Hi Tom Definitely a thumbs up on the Blackhawk M6 quality. Just as a heads-up, in case you purchased the SF M6-CB model, you might want to know the BH M6 top-flap will not completely close when holding that model. However it still covers most of the head and the retaining strap still does...

    Surefire M6 Rechargeable options

OverLord1 Congratulations on your new M6. What a great light! I have conflicting information. I received my M6-CB on Sept. 2nd with a MN20 installed and a MN21 in the box. In contrast, I still have not yet received some extra MN20/21 bulbs I ordered a week later. I hope that helps.:) Enjoy! Alec

Question for Surefire M6 owners. What is your bulb alternative to the MN20/21?

I plan on buying a Fivemega bi-pin socket for use with the stock M6 battery magazine until I buy a rechargeable solution. I want brighter bulbs than the MN21. Mostly short activations, a few seconds. Do you have any bulb recommendations? What works for you? i.e. WA1111, WA1274, Philips 5761...

How sensitive are incandescent bulbs to knocks?

Hey, Jasmes I edited my previous post. My mistake, the SF 2004 catalog only mentions shock isolated bezels on their special operations series, but does not explain how they work. I'll take a shot at it. Against the M2 bezel round interior wall rests a soft black (silicone?) flexible spacer...

How sensitive are incandescent bulbs to knocks?

Hey, Jasmes SFs 2004 Illumination Tools catalog (pg.24) illustrates the term "strike" in the context SF uses in reference to their E2d Defender, M3, and others. I assume the current catalog does too. It might be helpful. I agree about your X5, amazing! Also, comparing it's LEDs to a P90/91 LA...

How sensitive are incandescent bulbs to knocks?

In my experience, probably. I use a M2 shock isolated bezel and a Z48 clicky on my C3. But, without any experimentation nor comparison to a standard "control" bezel or tail-switch in all of these drops, I'm hesitant to claim they necessarily saved my P90s. Yet, I definitely believe they do...

Does anyone know of a Surefire M6-CB holster solution?

Re: Surefire M6-CB holster solution? Thanks, Al I viewed some pictures of his other holsters and they look real good. dizzy Good idea, but I'm still in the "Its a new toy, can't part with it yet" mode. Yet, considering a fitted holster need only conform to the fundamental M6-CB...

Does anyone know of a Surefire M6-CB holster solution?

:) Greetings CPF'ers. This forum contains such a wealth of information. I recently purchased a M6-CB and need a leather/nylon holster/pouch to securely affix it to a waistbelt. Can you suggest a supplier? Thanks. I appreciate it.
