What type of batteries can be left in car under direct sunlight?

Thanks. I've been hearing of lithium battery powered devices catching fire while charging. So am quite surprised when you recommended lithium cells. The power station I am interested in will have at least 20 pieces of 18650s. Will this be a problem? My biggest concern is fire. I don't think car...

Anybody leave li ions in car during summer?

Hey guys! Sorry for digging up this super old thread! Was there ever a conclusion/confirmation whether batteries can be kept inside a hot car? I actually started another thread here and then found this thread. I'm in a situation where I want to permanently leave a portable power (similar to...

Explain to me electronic switch and parasitic drains

Hi Chris, I'm actually asking in preparation of buying a new single AA light. The reason I'm asking is because much of these newer designs are side switches (I hate them btw, easy to accidentally turn on and need to 'feel' in the dark). I narrowed down to Klarus Mi7 but read that it drains...

Explain to me electronic switch and parasitic drains

How do i tell electronic switch from normal? For eg, i have a nitecore d10, which drains my batt dry in weeks. My other eagletac d25a doesn't seem to drain my battery as it remains quite bright even after months, seems to be same for manker e11. I'm thinking of getting a klarus mi7 but read it...

How do you measure how much power a battery still has?

How do you measure how much power a battery still has?

There are those cheap battery testers that have indicators such as weak fair strong but they dont really tell much, eg my batt is 2100mAh how do i know whether they is still 1700 or 600mAh left in it?

So bottom line is no no to solar charging LSD NiMH? :( If anyone is interested, this is my setup. i got it from instructables and modified a little bit. solar panel +ive is connected to a diode. the +ive and -ive wirings are connected to an on/off switch. a battery holder for a pair of AAs is...

can i then use the charger to charge two AA Recykos? the solar panel is 5V 130ma. i read from the website that the current is usually higher than whats claimed and the solar panel actually works better in a cooler temperature. can i use a 5V panel to charge up two AA Recykos (2.4V combined)...
