    Help wanted: charging 10280 cells

I've used several nano chargers in the past and found them very picky about the contacts. I had the best luck by placing magnets on both poles of the battery to ensure adequate contact. The USB charger that Saberwolf makes here has now replaced my nano chargers, though.

    IMR26500 Fitment [pictures added]

I find it a bit disheartening that this thread has to exist at all. I _almost_ fired off paypal for a bunch of these cells but I'm glad I didn't. I'll make do with my 8 original C lithiums until gen3 is available.

You've got $50 to spend on 24 CR123's... what do you buy?

You know, if these are the only permutations available , I really don't think it makes much difference. For 50 bucks, your best value would probably be choice #1. I think your performance and shelf life would be fairly comparable across the board, though.

    W A R N I N G - BS Battery Explodes

JimH, I'm glad the explosion was contained! Just this morning a came across 10 BS AA lithiums while I was sorting and organizing all of my cells. I guess placing them into a steel ammo box was a good idea. Perhaps taking them to the battery recycling station would be a better idea.

    Titanium CR123A longevity

There recently was a thread on older BatteryStation cells and their (lack of) longevity. Sort of belies the whole purpose of having a 10 year shelf life. Well, I didn't have any old BS cells (have new ones since they're currently manufactured in the U.S.) but I do have a boatload of Titanium...

Available High Current AA NIMHs for Mag85?

+1 on the Amondotech Titanium 1800s. Plus, no leakage issues thus far like the old CBP1650s.

    CBP1650s Back In Stock

The CBP1650s are definitely better with those bulbs. Make sure you order extras. It seems that with each order I have 1 or 2 marginal cells. In fact, I ordered 14 for the FM 12AA-3D holder. One cell right off the bat was smokin' hot as I charged it. It ended up with all this baked on crud on the...

    CBP1650s Back In Stock

Yep, ordered them the first day they were back in stock. I'm already using the dozen I just ordered. Bob_G, you must've ordered a ton for all those hotwires you've collected. BTW, one of your posts persuaded me to get the Aleph3. Very nice.

    MAHA C808M charges CBP1650s

Quick observation. I've found out that I can charge my CBP1650s with the Maha C808M. Just use the "C" slot for the cells. There is enough tension to hold the cells up and make contact. Perfect. No more little magnets. (which didn't work in the "AA" slot for this Maha, anyway) I can now discharge...

14500 LIon cells and charger/Where to buy?

AW's protected 14500 cells are great. I definitely recommend them. You can use the DSD charger but you'll need spacers. AW sells them by the pair or you can improvise your own pretty easily.

Do I need high amp rated NiMH for my soon to be hotwire?

Shaocaholica, I'm looking at the exact same setup as you are with the 12AA host. I'll be ordering my hotdriver soon, I think. The above was Andrew's response to my question regarding Titanium 2600s for this bulb. I tried placing an order for the CBP1650s (which I use in my ROP high) but they are...
