Are these chargers junk, or would they be ok for occasional use?

Looks like I can get one for under $15 shipped from within the US. That seems like a much better option. It will only do four at a time, but that's not the end of the world. Thanks for talking me out of the cheap crap guys :)

Are these chargers junk, or would they be ok for occasional use?

What is the significance of the 4.23v? Is that too high? Is there a thread reviewing /testing these chargers? So difficult to find information about these things without a brand name or model number :(

Are these chargers junk, or would they be ok for occasional use?

I have a decent charger that will charge 18650, 16340 etc. but it only charges two cells at a time. This is normally fine, as I don't use my flashlights enough for it to be a problem. I usually keep a charged cell and one spare cell for an 18650 light in the kitchen, and I rotate four 16340's...

    Led forward voltage question

See, I told you CPF was the best place to ask this question! :D I knew enough to be concerned that a tiny increase in voltage could lead to massive increase in current, which is why I asked before doing it, but I didn't know how it pertained to this type of circuit. Thanks so much for the...

    Led forward voltage question

This is not actually flashlight related, but my experince has been that CPFers are the most led-knowledgable bunch around, so hopefully someone can help me with this. I have a computer keyboard that I would like to modify by replacing the green leds with red ones. Unfortunately, I don't know...

AA vs CR123a- An answer to this old chestnut!

We have a specific % markup in our store, so CR123's are not marked up any higher than any other cell. Being lithium, they are more expensive than alkalines, but we only charge $5.99 for them. That's still expensive, but considering people were so desperate that they were paying $10 for a two...

AA vs CR123a- An answer to this old chestnut!

Well yes, I was joking about the Lady Gaga thing, of course they wanted a battery operated radio to listen to important updates. It seems odd that light took a back seat though, I would have thought that the two were equally important. I didn't actually own a radio, so I bought one that takes...

AA vs CR123a- An answer to this old chestnut!

Well, this is a question often asked: Is it best to carry a flashlight which takes common cells such as AA or AAA because they are easily available, or does it make more sense to carry one that takes 'exotic' cells such as CR123 or CR2, because common sizes will be sold out in an emergency...

    CR123a Obsolescence?

Whenever I see CR123 batteries in stores, they all seem to have a few things in common: very high prices (around $7 here in NY!), expiration dates in the next couple of years, and packaging that is dog eared and looks like it's been on display a long time. Given the long shelf life of lithium...
