    Surefire EB1 vs. E1D

For what it's worth, the E1DL's interval between two brightness stages is set to 1 second rather than 2 seconds on E2DL/E2DL-U/E1B/EB1-C, which should make it slightly better fitted for tactical use comparing to the lights mentioned above.

    New Surefire e1d led defender?

Bravo monsieur, IMHO the Z61 really takes the good old "Surefire look" back to this light

    New Surefire e1d led defender?

This puppy had finally crossed the pond and reached me in my office. After a dental work performed by MIK, this E1DL is now much more EDC-friendly. Switched the tailcap to a Z61 and here we go!

    New Surefire e1d led defender?

Somebody asked for a photo of E1DL bezel with the crenelation removed, and here it is in all its glory (Photo credit goes to MIK himself as he'd just finished modding it a few hours ago. I can't wait to see this thing!): BEFORE AFTER

    Converting Z2 to dual output?

Hey Eddie, no offense, but I don't think the two-stage tactical tailcap will work properly in this case. I have both Kroma tailcap and AZ2 tailcap and both of them only gave high beam when paired with Malkoffs. A real shame as I was hoping for the same as the OP does. On a side note, a Kroma...

    What's your car EDC?

Surefire 6P with KX4 head in both cars. Moderate throw and decent spill plus good balance between brightness and runtime for a car light.

    Surefire EB2 pictures

Count me in, I personally find it really difficult to appreciate the look of EB2.

    Surefire L1 still relevant?

I have two Gen 6 L1s, one in new logo one in old logo. I just took them out and compare their beams; what you mentioned is true, the new logo L1 looks indeed brighter and narrower; its beam profile is very similar to that of E1B.

    Surefire L1 still relevant?

Gen 5 body w/ Gen 6 head. Since the Gen 5 body is way too long (it makes the whole light almost as long as LX2), I ended up selling it in the MP.

    Surefire L1 still relevant?

Yes it was sent back to SureFire and they sent me a new Gen 5 body and head, along with my original tailcap. Considering the damage was caused by out-of-specs usage, I was ready to pay for the repair. It turned out they replaced the damaged part for free plus a new head as an act of good will...

    Surefire L1 still relevant?

First of all, I'm not looking for the latest and brightest. As long as a light reaches a certain brightness level that's adequate for my usage, I'm satisfied. For me personally, the 1.0" bezel of L1 makes it a better fit in my EDC rotation combination, as most of the other lights use 1.0"...

    Surefire L1 still relevant?

Hello Jim! 1. Are you saying that Gen 6 L1's actual output is around 110 lumens? I don't have a sphere or something, but my E1B looks brighter than both of my Gen 6 L1s. 2. Be aware that Gen 6 L1 cannot run RCR123s for an extended period of time. The last time I tried that the electronics in...

I'm torn between SureFire LX2+F04 diffuser and SureFire AZ2-S.

Can you run this setup for an extended period of time without any issues? BTW, is that a ThinkPad T530?

Put an EB1 clip on my Gen 6 L1 and it looks just right!

    Surefire e2dl ultra

One more derailing reply: Actually the AZ2/AZ2-S tailcap o ring is already smaller than standard C/P/M tailcap o ring. Swapping to a smaller o ring might jeopardize the light's watertightness. Just my personal conjecture.

    Surefire e2dl ultra

Hey Kevin! I do have an AZ2-S and now it seems that I can lego a TIR Combatlight with 500 SF lumen! The only problem with the AZ2 host is its tailcap..way too tight no matter how I lubricate the o ring and thread. Is Robin doing a review on the E2DL Ultra?

    Surefire e2dl ultra

Buying a E2DLU & removing the crenellation is not a problem for me, the only problem is the colors of LX2 body and E2DLU head won't match.
