Why is it so hard to find lights in any other color than black?

Some of the current leaders in innovation, like Emisar and Astrolux, have a wide range of colors and materials. Check them out.

LED flashlight enthusiasm seems to be waning

For a long time flashlights meant MagLites. I was pretty happy with the 4Sevens MiNi 123 and the DRY (3xCREE XM-L T6 3×18650). After that came Manker E14 and Noctigon M43. The recent arrival of the Emisar D4 and the Astrolux MF-01 shows that there is plenty more to have. Next step will very...

    Nitecore Tiny Monster TM26 purchase

Before you order have a look at the Noctigon M43 Meteor and the Manker MK34. Similar lights and for less money you get a better light and a choice of emitters. The BLF Q8 is obviously the most bang for the buck, but it will take a while longer before the production of it starts.

    SureFire is no more

We can no longer keep up with the steady flow of cheap high quality flashlights from China, so instead of soon being forced into chapter 11 proceedings we have today decided to permanently cease operations in an orderly fashion. Jim Bixby, Executive Vice President of SureFire FlashLights Inc...

That sounds like the over discharge protection triggers for some reason. Are you sure that the cell is charged and OK?

Manker E14 with Nichia 219C I just couldn't resist getting one more Manker E14 (formerly also known as Astrolux S41), this time with 4000K Nichia 219C 90+ CRI. 50% more lumens than with 219B (according to Manker) and still real (>90) high CRI...

    Budeget Nichia?

Typical "Chinese inflation" I guess... What makes it funny is that this is a bespoke made for the flashaholic community according to our specs and we know exactly what we are getting.

    Flashlight of the year-2016

Interesting, but I guess that board could have been in storage for a while or the copying is more blatant than ever.

    Budeget Nichia?

I think that there might be a few BLF-348 left from the 4:th run of the group-buy (last?) on the other forum. It's a very cheap and great way to check out the wonderful world of Nichia and high CRI.

    Flashlight of the year-2016

I couldn't agree more. The Manker E14 (with Nichia 219B) however does still not have any real competition on the market. Astrolux flashlights aren't designed or have any parts made by Manker anymore. They split up their relationship pretty hard, people were allegedly even fired over this...
