    New Mini MKIII's for 2021

Same here, very quick response and a new light is on it's way. It looks like the timing issue for me too. It's always a pleasure dealing with good customer service. Guy

    New Mini MKIII's for 2021

I was on vacation when my Ti MKIII arrived so I just started playing with it. It’s a gorgeous light and I love the form factor. In the past I had a MK1, which I gave to a friend, and an MKII that my wife lost. So this is my third. While I love the light and love twisty lights, mine is giving...

Where did all the oldtimers go.

Just noticed this thread. I joined when I got my first real light, a Streamlight Scorpion. I was totally amazed at 60 lumens from 2 CR123 batteries. The bulb only lasted for a few battery changes before blowing up. Then I discovered the Arc AAA like most people here, and have bought several...

    MBI #3 - Codename: HF

I just received mine today. Amazing little light. The packaging is cool. Nice handwritten note from Guy and a bonus battery. I'm quite impressed. Is still sunny and bright outside so I haven't been able to put it through it's paces, but my wife was annoyed at the beam on high, even while...

Which LED Light Started it All?

Like a few others it was the Arc AAA for me too. I had a number of incans (Streamlight Scorpion, a few princeton tecs and maglites of course), but the the Arc changed it all for me - small, unbreakable and no bulbs to burn out. A few years later I got my first high-powered LED, the Longbow Micra...

My, how far LED flashlights have come in just ~10 years

I agree it's been a wild ride and the technology now is amazing. 10 years ago we were starting to get high powered LEDs. However, just go back a few years prior to that... When I joined CPF some of the optimists were telling us that some day LEDs might compete with the incans of the days. I...

    Eagletac D25 Clicky Series Round-up Review (D25C, D25A2, D25LC2 - XM-L & XP-G)

Re: Eagletac D25 Clicky Series Round-up Review (D25C, D25A2, D25LC2 - XM-L & XP-G) I carry mine on my keychain. It's a bit fatter than the D25a that I used to carry, but still OK. It's not a problem now as it's still jacket season here in Canada, but the temperature should rise to near...

    Eagletac dealers

I bought my 2012 D25A Ti and my 2013 D25C Ti from Pacific Tactical Solutions. Excellent service both times. Guy

    One CR123 1000 lumens?

Well, I for one think that it will be possible. It just won't be what we expect - better battery, better led. Somebody will come up with something different at some point and it will change the game. I've been around here since 2001. I remember being impressed with the power of an Arc AAA. Then...

How best to buy a neutral/warm SS eiger with QTC

RMSK doesn't ship to Canada, so I ordered my Logan from Overready. It arrived promptly, and was very well packaged. I'd order from them again without any hesitation. Guy

    EagleTac Titanium D-Series

Yeah, my D25A Ti does the same thing. You really have to switch fast to change modes. Not at all like my Preon Revo. I think you're right that the 25C will throw a bit better. Mine doesn't even have a low mode with a 14500. Only high and it gets way too hot within about a minute, so it's...

    The Official EagleTac G25C2 thread.

I was one of the winners in Mike's Eagletac Christmas Giveaway. It took a while to get here in Canada, but it made it through. He sent me the kit to go with it. I concur with everthing Atxlight wrote. An amazing light, very bright and very well built. All my other lights are either single AAA...

    EagleTac Titanium D-Series

Thanks for the responses guys, Bummer about the low mode on 14500's. From the forum I gathered that the 14500 allowed for low and high, which would have been perfect. Not very useful with a high mode only that gets too hot after a few minutes. Oh well, at least it's bright on primaries. Guy

    EagleTac Titanium D-Series

Got mine a few days ago. Great looking light, threads a bit gritty. Mine seems to behave strangely though. If I twist it on it goes to low. If I twist rapidly off and on, it always stays on low, even if I do it very quickly. However, if I really ram it on and off forcibly, then it switches...

    Sold/Expired Sold DS Firefly III

Hi everyone, I have a stock Firefly III for sale. It's in excellent condition and works like new. No mods whatsoever. I bought the light in 2006, and carried it in a pouch for a couple of years. No scratches, but a bit of the HA has rubbed off the bezel corners. I'm asking $100 incl...

    Stock piling Lithium Ion Batteries?

This is where I'm getting inconsistent information. Based on this thread, 80% should happen after 1 year, as people say that Li-ions lose 20% after 1 year if not managed properly. That means we should all throw them away after 1 year based on this information. Doesn't make sense... It's also not...
