    2500mAh "Eneloop" from Sanyo announced

(edit - intended this as a reply to degg) Man, I agree 100% with your statement! Though I don't think there are enough 41 (CX in my case) users out there to warrant bringing such a thing to market. Also, I suspect that since the device was made for alkalines, it would drain any NiMh lower than...

    small Pila charger problem

Just wanted to say 'welcome,' greetings from Silver Spring - and glad you're getting your issue resolved. I hadn't heard about this problem, will have to keep it in mind if I ever pick up one of these chargers…

    Charging Eneloop batteries

Re: BC-700 and Eneloop Questions I use the same setup, works pretty well, and the cost is low. Even 700ma is a fairly low charge rate, .37C assuming the min capacity of an AA Eneloop at 1900mAh. I have charged them at the 200ma many a time, simply out of forgetfulness (200 being the default)...

Some questions about small cells or, perhaps, smaller cells…

First off - this is basically some early thought for some custom work I may want done in the future. But the questions are specifically about electronics, and the theoretical & practical matters of cells/batteries, so I believe this belongs here. If it doesn't, moving it certainly won't offend…...

Funny marketing speech from Apple! (NiMH batteries and charger)

Aside from the previously mentioned Magic Mouse (and the Mighty Mouse before it, and the plain jane wireless mouse that came before that), their wireless keyboard also takes 2 (or 3, depending on generation) AA cells. Also, this charger was launched the same day as their new wireless trackpad...

    SR44 vs LR44

Thanks all! Looks like some conflicting theories here, with one actually having done the experiment and having SRs come out on top, so I think it's worth trying…*As I said, the fact that the light is so cheap offsets the price of having a little fun, experimenting…! I did know there was a AAA...

Poll: Would You Like to See Protected RCR2 batteries?

I voted yes, but I would also like to see more in the way of LiFePo4 RCR2s… Anyone else?

    SR44 vs LR44

I spotted some of the little Coast lights at Office Depot that run on the LR44s (I believe) - I think this is the Mini-tac? Anyway, I'm thinking of picking one up, because they're like $6 and I think it'd be a fun little toy. Now, I know people aren't fond of button cells, but I don't care...

    Your most leaked cells... PICS

Hmm, that's not a bad idea! I think they're the cells that came with the light, which I believe would make them Duracells. Once I find myself a beefy screw, I'll have a go at it and see if I can make out for certain the brand… Thanks for the advice! Brian

    Your most leaked cells... PICS

A couple of weeks ago, while reading here about the Mag XL100, I wondered how my old 3xAA LED Mag was doing. This light was my first LED light, the first generation of Mag LEDs. This was before I bought my Surefire, before I decided no more alkalines in flashlights, before a lot of things… These...

    What multimeter to get

Going to add my vote for Flukes… Check around any pawn shops near you, with equipment like this they don't seem to have a very good grasp of value… The ones near me price pretty much any Fluke the same…*They tend to mostly get the lower end models, so it makes sense…*But I picked up a Fluke 187...
