    The only surefire I have heard of that may take an 18650 is the U2, it had a plastic sleeve which could be removed, cr123 batteries are Quite tight in surefires.

    I buy more than one of lights i really like, in the last month i bought 2 fenix E05, 3 fenix E11, and 3 fenix LD20 flashlights, it's nice to have some spares, i will probably sell them in a few months when i need cash for some new ones that take my fancy.

    You could try repainting the letters, get some white enamel modelling paint, the oil based stuff, let some flow into the lettering, leave for a couple of hours then run a moistened not wet q tip with some turpentine on it over the top of the lettering, this will take the excess paint off leaving...

    Do aesthetics matter?

    Aesthetics don't matter much to me unless it was hideous, i used to think spyderco knives were very ugly, never gave them a second look until i bought one, have had a few since then, they are more ergonomic than pretty.

    Hi, you could reinstall the lens and test it without batteries and lamp,then see if it leaks. Steve.

    Hi, the bezel has a ring with indentations on it, You just need to unscrew this and the lens comes out and there is a gasket/seal underneath. It will go back in no problem. Steve.
