JETBeam RRT-0 Overview With Lots of Pictures

To the guys looking for an OP reflector, I ordered two from BugOut Gear and had to wait a few weeks for the manufacturer to send them to BugOut but they're finally in the mail to me now. I don't think they have many of the OP reflectors available but give them a call and ask. Curious to know...

More Impressions of the K2 Kroma

Now that I've had this light for two or three weeks, the tailcap and clicky both function very smoothly and reliably, as smoothly as the switch on an A2. It no longer feels overly sensitive either and is easy to operate with one hand without moving the selector ring. It is also fairly easy to...

Surefire K2 KROMA & KROMA Milspec

Flashdark, Thank you, that is a ton of detail in post #40...meanwhile even though I've started carrying an A2 again I'll be keeping the Kroma with me when out of the country for a few months. I have also noticed after days of carrying a Kroma that the instant I picked up an A2 again it was...

Surefire K2 KROMA & KROMA Milspec

The runtime on the Kroma's high beam might be understated by Surefire, I've been playing with mine a lot to get used to the function and I think I may have used the high beam for over an hour. Richard

Surefire K2 KROMA & KROMA Milspec

Flashdark, I'm also trying a Z60 attached to the pocketclip and it appears as though it might be a functional solution. The other item I want to try is just clipping the Kroma onto a Billabong nylon neck lanyard but I can't find where that lanyard is right now. Richard

Surefire K2 KROMA & KROMA Milspec

Flashdark, The standard Kroma appears to have been designed specifically for pilots and mechanics and since I could think of no use for the IR beam on the Mil Spec I switched my order to the regular red-blue-white one. Right now I've only had a Kroma for a little over a day and am still...

More Impressions of the K2 Kroma

One thing I've noticed about the Kroma...the tailcap twisty and button both seem to be a bit more sensitive than the switch on an A2. This might be because the switch is still new and rough and once it smooths out with use it could very well be a non issue. I've had a couple of A2's that...

More Impressions of the K2 Kroma

As Archangel said, Surefire seems to have done a good balance of light levels with the Kroma. The low output blue and red flood of the Kroma is particularly good. If you regularly use an A2 Aviator and don't mind the fact that the Kroma is a bit larger and bulkier, you will probably love the...

More Impressions of the K2 Kroma

I apologize for not being able to do photos. I just received a Surefire K2 Kroma from Steven at tacticalsupply.com and unfortunately it isn't dark here. This light is obviously purpose built as a tool and it appears to be the tool I've needed for over 20 years now. My first impressions of it...

Surefire K2 KROMA & KROMA Milspec

TOY????? A lot of these comments have steam coming out of my ears. Sometimes I wonder why people buy stuff they don't need...and I try to ignore reviews of lights from people who didn't need the capabilities but for some bizarre reason had more money than brains and had to run out and buy a new...

    Surefire K2 Kroma review

Thank you. I'm not sure I should have asked about the low beam on the Kroma comparing to the A2 because the one I ordered is the Mil Spec version. Does the Kroma appear to fit in the breast pocket of a shirt without difficulty or does it look like the A2 is still the one for carrying in the...

    Surefire K2 Kroma review

The K2 looks a bit bigger than I expected in that photo of it next to an A2... If you've used it outdoors, based on what you're seeing, how does the throw on high compare to an A2 and are the low beams at least as low output as the low on an A2? Thank you, Richard

    The A2 stinks.

I've had that situation myself with high output LED lights and now I stick with a Surefire A2 and an M3T. The A2 wasn't that impressive at first glance and required practical use to actually appreciate it. Protaeus, I have to be back in Australia toward the end of this year before going to the...

    The A2 stinks.

I just pulled the head off one of my A2's and it sure looks like the reflector is a machined portion of the head itself...there does not appear to be a removable reflector. Richard

    The A2 stinks.

If you don't like twist and press type tailcaps, you have to remember that it is common knowledge that the A2, L1, L2, and K2 all have that tailcap. No need to buy one and then complain about something known in advance. If you want something else, buy something else. Richard
