    Eneloop AA capacity question

Hi: If I base put in 1900, does that mean the battery will be charged to 1900 mah max (even if the true capacity is higher)? I suppose in the end, having a battery with 1900 mah or 2000 mah capacity IS a small difference for practical use in my flashlights, as pointed out.

    Eneloop AA capacity question

Charging at 1000 would mean 0.5C which would be 2000 mAh capacity, then, right? I'm still confused which is best, 1900 or 2000 for the settings.

    Eneloop AA capacity question

Hi all: I have a set of Eneloop AA 3UTGA batteries. The batteries say 1900 min mAh but the Sanyo website says typical capacity 2000 mAh. I bought a Maha charger. Do I base the charging rate and or other break in settings on 2000 or 1900 mAh??

Maha charger question - very short break in times

Break in capacity for all four eneloops were about 2060 mAh. There were no power outages, etc. during the break in. After I reported this to Maha, they had be do another break-in and the same thing occurred - namely the entire break in process took only about 24 hours rather than several days...

Maha charger question - very short break in times

Hi Gang: Based on all the excellent advice here, I purchased a Maha Wizard charger (4 AA) from Thomson. I also bought four sets of four eneloop 2000 mah packs. I started doing the break-in cycles on each set of four. The first two sets took several days to complete the Break-In, just like...

new maha c9000 charger/eneloop batteries; initial charge question

Hi gang; I've finally gotten around to ordering my Maha c9000 and eneloop batteries from the friendly folks at Thomas Distributing. Question... should I use the Eneloop AA batteries straight out of the package or should they be placed in the charger? If the latter, do I use break-in...

Streamlight black task light or stinger?

Hi all: Since Thomas Distributing is offering free shipping and I have my coupon code, while I'm ordering my Maha charger and Eneloop batteries, I decided to take a look at their flashlight offerings. I have fallen in love with my streamlight Jr. (2 AA) LED flashlight. I thought I would...

AA to D converters - recommendations for old 5 D cell Maglite?

Hi all: Does anyone use AA to D converters for the old incandescent 4 or 5 D cell Maglites? I see Thomas has them from three manufacturers - Accupower, Lenmar and Nexcell. I have written to all three but none of them can tell me if they will work with the old style Maglites (which I...

want to order Maha and Eneloop - questions

Hello all: I want to order a Maha MHC 9000 from Thomas Distributing (I hope this is still considered an excellent charger) but when I went to add some Eneloop AA batteries, I found they offer a new version 2000 mAh style. I had thought Eneloops come in 2700 mAh. Are the 2000 mAh suitable...

Maha C9000/Eneloop - still good choice and where to buy?

Thanks Joe! Based on input here, and the sale on the Eneloops, I think I'm going to take the plunge and order the charger with 8 Eneloops. Are you happy so far with the MahaC9000?

Maha C9000/Eneloop - still good choice and where to buy?

TTA: Maybe it's been a long day or I'm just being dense, but I clicked on your signature line and found La Crosse Responded: 02/11/2010 but I don't see any that look like a response from this company. Can you clarify what I am supposed to read? Thank you.

Maha C9000/Eneloop - still good choice and where to buy?

Thanks everyone. If anyone else has a basic charger recommendation, that would be great. I would rather just pony up the $48 (minus 5% thanks to Apollo Cree's coupon code) for the Maha, than waste $10 or $20 on some junk. I'm sure there are decent chargers out there for around that price, but...

Maha C9000/Eneloop - still good choice and where to buy?

Thanks Apollo Cree: I think you summed this up quite well. I don't think batteries are or will become a hobby for me. I just want a good charger. However, I do think features like initialize, etc. would be nice. Is there another charger I should consider that is perhaps not as "advanced"...

Maha C9000/Eneloop - still good choice and where to buy?

Thanks everyone! I'd be curious to hear other people's opinion more about the LaCrosse BC700. I did a search and read some posts about LaCrosse melt-down events. Has this been resolved with the BC700? How is the customer support for LaCrosse? I could see putting the $18 difference towards...

Maha C9000/Eneloop - still good choice and where to buy?

Hi all: I need a good charger to charge AA flashlight batteries for my mini-mags, streamlight, and children toys. I just checked the Thomas Distributing site and this charger is $50 alone. I thought they used to bundle this charger with Eneloops so I called - they don't anymore. Is this...

    Charger intimidation! How to choose??

Hi all: I have been reading the posts here over the past few days. I want to purchase a quality charger for some Eneloops (that I still need to buy). Apparently the new Sanyo charger that can be bundled with the Eneloops doesn't sense individual cells but works in pairs - which even I can...

Question regarding Eneloop rechargeables & C/D adapters

Thanks: I think you have convinced me to stick with Eneloop AA's and find some D shells that will work with the tail cap spring on my Maglites. In fact, I rarely use my 4D and 5D Maglites anymore so perhaps I can keep a set of D shells on hand for when I do want to use it. Mainly I use my...

Question regarding Eneloop rechargeables & C/D adapters

Thank you everyone for all this excellent input. I think the route to go is to purchase "real" D sized rechargeable batteries. I found some 10000 mAh Tenergy D cells at all-battery.com. Are they any good? Now I recently learned the newer Sanyo charger that comes with the Eneloop AA...

Question regarding Eneloop rechargeables & C/D adapters

Thanks Justin Case: Good point about the tail cap spring. I had not thought of that. 1.2V vs. 1.5V doesn't sound like much of a difference but for a 5D Maglite, we're talking 6V vs. 7.5V so I thought I would ask the board.

Question regarding Eneloop rechargeables & C/D adapters

Hi everyone: I'm going to take the advice I got here a while back to purchase a set of Eneloop rechargeable batteries and a battery charger. I notice that some of the kits come with a C and D size adapter. I didn't realize that what this means is that one slips a AA battery into the C or D...
