Hi Illuminated ones, I had the opportunity to open my recharchable Surefire 9V battery pack (The one in the white plastic sheath), and found inside 3 normal looking CR123 Surefire (Standard red cover) batteries joined together with metal straps. So, what really want to know is, are these...

F***ed up my KL1 last night...

I think I was a bit hasty - but let this be a warning to the uninitiated modder. I decided to try amd mod my spare KL1 with an RB 1W LS. So I put the KL1 into a leather-lined vice (Lens end down), and used a socket spanner which fitted the hex knurle to try and remove the front (smooth) ring...

Proposal - to change Flashaholics to Lightmaniacs

Told my wife I was considered a Flashaholic now - and she was a bit taken by surprise - "What do you mean ?" She asked, "You go into parks, and flash things ???" You see - in OZ we call a flashlight a 'torch', and flashers are the ones who flaunt their -wares- illegally. I have had this...

Hi Dudes, Anyone interested in a flashaholics meeting in Melbourne Australia ? It would most likely be in the City - a lunch or dinner meet. Dinner could be better, as we can then go out and try out some mean flashlight technology.... I would probably expect it to be in early March, say 5th...

Mod to a 2AA Reactor to make it hold 3AAs

Hi, I have a 2AA reactor that I would like to make brighter, so I was thinking of putting 3AAs into it. I have tried the AAA+2xN idea, and it worked OK, but: 1. It was a touch longer than 2AAs, and the switch became too sensetive, and 2. It turned on by itself, and I could not turn it off...
