    Do you have the answer?

I agree, nights are getting shorter in the northern hemisphere, at least in Germany (and whole middle Europe) we have nice sunny weather, it's more a time for riding on the MTB, barbeque, or a cold beer :D: Prost, Jens

Nevermind Gas, What's Up with Food?

Sad for us, but you are wrong ;). The gas- and foodprices are rising in Europe, too. The strong euro is only dampening this trend. To my mind the main reason is the use of agricultural areas for alternative fuel. Jens

    What Do You Drive?

Hey, I have never expected to see a good ol' Opel Kadett in the CPF :D. A similar one had been my first car twenty years ago, now I'm driving its great granson an Opel Astra (sold in the USA as Saturn Astra,I believe). But these old C-Kadetts are legendary cult-cars here in Germany, I'm...

I just paid $4 a gallon for the first time ever.

We have a new all-time-record fuel price here in Germany: 1,49€/ L that's 8,80$/ gal, if I calculated correctly . It's time to use the mountain-bike for my daily way to work. Nevertheless, have a nice weekend and make a bike-tour :p Jens

    Smart Car is coming

Wow, so cheap? I've just converted our price, it's 6,8$ per gallon! The Smart is an excellent car for city-traffic, you are always able to find a parking slot, but as a first and only car, it's too small, for me the ideal cars are a size we call "the Golf-class" although I drive its...

Now "Australia to ban old-style light bulbs"

 Nice that you answer in a funny way  To my mind it's no hysteria, but it's even to late to act anyway, any joint efforts the US, Can, Aus or Europe would make in the future, will be redundanized by the growing industries of China and India :awman: . So, learn to swim in...

Now "Australia to ban old-style light bulbs"

I have heard, that such kind of studies in some cases had been financed by the oil-industry  . One point everybody has forgotten: I use energy saving bulbs to save money and spend it in flashlights  , in the last weeks you found Cree/ SSC based bulbs for home use, I guess this...

Jeer to those who distribute "Forged" U2 with SureFire Logo

But in most cases it's clear that it is a knock-off (you, as dutchman may know the German term "der gesunde Menschenverstand", I don't know the English version:thinking: , "common sense" good enough?). Or do you think the 20€ Rolex, sold on the Spanish beach, is a original one? ;) Best Jens

Jeer to those who distribute "Forged" U2 with SureFire Logo

Sorry, no link, the cases had been in the newspapers last summer, had been normal, privat tourist-transactions! You may know these guys on the beech, with their "original" Rolexes, Louis Viton-bags and Nike-shirts  . To my mind these laws are o.k., it's the only way to stop these chinese...

Jeer to those who distribute "Forged" U2 with SureFire Logo

One question about the US-copyright-etc-laws from me: Is it possible in the USA to punish the customer, who ordered such a knock-off? In the Europen-Union the laws against product-piracy had been tightend, so buying such a copy could become much more expensive than the original  , for...

    Poorly translated instructions

Even more surreal are instructions, which are first translated from Chinese in English and after this in another language (in my case German) and all this is done with babelfish or google. So the instructions of a cheap toaster can be funnier than a late-night-show
