    Peak Killimanjaro Conundrum

Hi y'all - Not sure whether to post this to the Peak or battery forum, but guess it belongs here. Maybe. Long-time fan of *old, original* CMG Infinity Ultra likes the HP Killimanjaro for it's build, snow-white LED, non-rattle spring, big central spot. Like IU, Killi has just the right amount...

Peak 123A models and Li-ion Cells

Thank you Archangel, good answers. Yes, I have thought about that - how realistic is it to worry about minor losss of LED life considering advances in technology and probable purchases... Also, I haven't noticed any subjective difference in brightness, although I was too lazy to dig out the...

Peak 123A models and Li-ion Cells

Archangel, if you check in here, could you tell me if you know whether use of the RCR123's is likely to reduce LED life to any substantial degree? Due to higher voltages? Or could speculate? Don't know that they have buck circuitry to bring higher voltages down, don't know enough to guess...

Quick fix for tail switch length...

Hi guys - Just discovered this thread, and have a different and very easy fix to recommend. When I got my tail switch, I found the problem you described. Too hard to lock out, too easy to activate in a pocket. Get a small O-ring (sorry, but can't give you dimensions unless I remove mine!)...

McKinley Ultra LED Life & Battery Type

I have a related question, maybe someone can shed some light (sorry!) on this. I have two McKinleys, one Hi in white, one Ultra in red. I used a protected Li-Ion cell in the red for one cycle, then got worried and went back to primaries. Should I be worried about using Li-Ions, that come off...

    Favorite Matterhorn tail style? (poll)

I like the idea of making it short, inserting side holes for suspension, but am not a big fan of the split-ring idea. Works fine in the "keychain" end version of Peaks, but holes in the side are straight, rings are curved, hence problems: either ring is too large, or it wears on the body. I...
