    Does this still have the locator flash that the ARC4/HDS/Novatac lights have? That's a dealbreaker for me if it does not. :mecry: I downloaded the instructions doc and it just doesn't go into details like I wish it did.

    NovaTac locater flash

    I love the locater flash. It makes the light IME. Knowing that I can turn off the lights and find my MVL (most valuable light hehe) is what truly makes it the best. I use R123's and believe the self discharge rate is faster than depletion by leaving this feature on so cell life is of no concern.

    Well it looks like I should have it by month's end. (I'm not the purchaser and it has to get to me - I'm on a ship) So most likely any beam shots I take would be boring but I can see if I can get some cool ship to shore shots at a decent range. Problem is long exposure+movement=blur city. :o

    You would lose some power with multiple elements. Careful alignment prevents abberations. Damage from reflected power isn't much of an issue with DPSS lasers. With direct diode lasers it can cause the output to drop IF the driver circuit is monitoring the PD output (as it SHOULD be!).
