    The RA is a fine light very tough. In my mind it comes down to the UI, decide which you prefer and go with that light. I don't think you could destroy either in the real world situation. Have fun

    I would look at the Malkoff M61 its a good mix between throw and flood. You may also want to consider using the MD3 as a host it will allow you to add the hi/low ring for lower output. You will need that for all the boring papework after the excitment is done :)...
