    There is a third option, I am an idiot. I tested it in a light with a bad dropin. When I put it in a good light, it worked fine.

    18650 Batteries and Solarforce L2

    I bought two Ultrafire 18650 batteries for my Solarforce L2s. Charged them and both of them do not seem to work. The light comes on then goes dim or off. The L2 has the 5 mode module. Am I missing something? They work fine with 123As.

    Battery

    The L2 can either use two 123A batteries or a 18650. From what I have read the 18650 lasts longer and performs better. Is this true? If so, is there a recommended 18650 bettery and charger. Thanks,
