    Dereelight C2H Quality/durability?

I can't speak to the quality of the head/electronics, since I only have the C2H body (which I used to lego together with some javelin heads). The two C2H bodies I have had somewhat unreliable clickies. But just recently I bought some replacement switches from flashlightconnection, and those have...

    Lumens Factory E-Series LED Head (XP-G R5 - 3 mode)

Looks pretty good, but I won't buy one because: 1. Teardrop shape doesn't appeal to me. 2. Modes are spaced too close together for my tastes, I prefer a lower low. 1/10/100% would be better. 3. No neutral tint available.

    208 lumen per watt efficiency

I want more details, like how large they made the die and what kind of package the LED might be in if and when they bring it to market.

    Quark Moonlight Runtime Test

No Quarks came with the XR-E. Perhaps you meant XP-E? Good luck, I look forward to seeing the results.

So does this means the G2X will be Surefire's first forward clicky housed in a nitrolon shell?

    My new Maelstrom G5 - likes/dislikes/suggestions

After a little more usage, I have two more complaints: The knurling is not aggressive enough. A Surefire 6P has more knurling, and the G5 should have just as much. The heft of this light requires more. There is a low brightness preflash when turning the light on in medium. I think that there...

    My new Maelstrom G5 - likes/dislikes/suggestions

I would also like to see a VLOP reflector available. I almost took the DIY approach with mine - I had it removed and I was getting ready to spray it with clear spray paint, but I decided to wait. For me the main reason this things needs a textured reflector is because of the dim spot in the...

    New Jetbeam BK135A

Updated- Hotspot on the Quark AA2 Tactical

I am experiencing the same floody beam and I think it's abnormal. My new Quark AA^2 tactical neutral has a hotspot almost as wide as my Preon! I mean I anticipated it being wider than the hotspot on my xp-e neutral quark, but the difference is vast. I'm not so happy...

    Z59/Z58 vs McClicky

ElectronGuru, that's an interesting chart, but I don't think it is fully representational of the "feeling" of using a clicky. We do not only sense amount of pressure required to use, but also feedback in the form of how much distance the button has been pushed in before the light activates. I...

Cleaning reflectors, can it be done?

Not all microfiber is created equal. Some have edges sewn with cotton thread which can scratch. Also, having a clean microfiber cloth is essential. That means that it has been washed (even brand new ones must be washed first) in a microfiber cleaning solution or run through the wash on cold or...

Cleaning reflectors, can it be done?

Wet the reflector under warm/hot water in the sink Using mild hand soap, soap up your hands liberally and get a little bit of a lather going. Using a finger that has a slippery soap film on it, very gently swipe the reflector from the center outwards (like cleaning a CD), not in a circular...

    pocket rocket thrower on 14500

Here is an idea for a 14500 thrower that I will end up putting together once I have the money: Dereelight Javelin head Dereelight C2H body, black Dereelight C2H extender for AA, black Any throwy P60 dropin that can run on 1xRCR123 or 1x18650 Only problem is that the Javelin head isn't yet for...

What's the closest to a QMini-123 with a FORWARD CLICKY?

The first thing that popped into my head was the Quark 123 Tactical, clipless. Sure it's a little bigger than the mini and it has a different UI, but it's a good light. It has an even wider range of brightnesses than the mini and that same great 4-7s build quality.
