lipo charger. do or don't ?

I use my RC charger exclusively for all my flashlight batteries. Magnets on end of wire works fine.

    Quality charger for 18650 batteries.

I'm probably too late since it looks like you already bought something, but I would get this: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html?gclid=CM_4rJCdiMUCFQwtaQodwaMAVg and then go to marketplace and have cottonpickers make you custom harness. You can charge all 6 of them at once, at very...

    Flashlights that Charge - Why???

What venting is on a cell phone that is submersible? You weren't questioning a dubious battery. You were questioning the safety of charging in a tube so using a $3.99 battery is not the issue you brought up. How about e-cigs? Millions of them sold, many with USB ports. How many have thrown...

    Flashlights that Charge - Why???

The thread was started with regards to charging the battery in the tube versus taking it out and charging externally. Therefore the protection is not the concern. You will have charge circuitry on the USB device or on your dedicated charger. The only issue then is having it in the tube, which...

    Flashlights that Charge - Why???

Re: Flashlights that Charge That's nothing new. My Canon G5 which was introduced around 2003 has that.

Looking for a charger than can....

I think some of the best bang for buck hobby chargers are the Thunder. You can find them here: http://www.hobbypartz.com/ I have been using the Thunder AC6 for years, for both RC and flashlight batteries. It can charge up to 6 of your batteries at a time if you make appropriate adapter. Just...

    Charging 10440's in series?

You can do that with hobby charger. Just make sure to add balance tap to your wiring if your charger has that feature. Then, just set it to the number of cells you have in series (1S, 2S, 3S, etc.) Another option would be to charge them in parallel.

    Hobby Charger?

I use this: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html $55 for balancing charger with built-in AC supply. The only thing you would need are connectors to plug into included balance board. I charge all my flashlightbatteries and RC packs, and am very happy with it.

Recommend a hobby charger set up?

Yes I know those sizes, but OP is mentioning 10440, 18650, 10180. basicially, he wants cradles for each size, commercially bought it seems. I don't know who makes them, and they would probably not be cheap. Since he already has a few dedicated chargers, I think he should either stick with those...

Recommend a hobby charger set up?

IMO unless you have a need for hobby charger to charge RC toys, then you're better off keeping the chargers you have. I haven't found any cradles meant for 16340, 14500, etc. that will connect to chargers, except for someone on here who made 18650 cradles. With that said, I have and recommend...

    Best 18650 Charger

That code is not working for me. It says it only applies to certain items and that is not one of them.

    hobby charger and proected cells

Wouldn't protection kick in from running it too low in the flashlight? That's what I'm talking about. It will look like an open circuit to the charger.

    hobby charger and proected cells

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I only plan on doing single 18650 right now. So if the protection kicked in on that, then I would not be able to charge it?

    hobby charger and proected cells

I recently purchased the Thunder AC6 hobby charger, since I got into RC cars and thought this charger would be good for charging 18650s as well. When I got the unit and read the manual, it stated that batteries with internal protection should not be charged. Why is this? Should I not be...
