which charger can charge D size NiMH batteries?

You can charge in series or in parallel. I have done both. Hobby chargers have balance taps so you can charge multiple in series and it will adjust output individually. I have been using this one for at least 6 years, no problems. http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html For a little more...

which charger can charge D size NiMH batteries?

For the price of the Maha I would recommend you buy a hobby charger. More options, and more output. However, you would have to come up with your own way to connect the batteries. I use magnets.

You could have just typed the part I bolded. Nothing more needed to be said.

why do all my friends buy dollar store shower head LED flashlights?

Every light has same reliability then. A Surefire either fails or it doesn't. A cheap China light either fails or it doesn't. You buy a lottery ticket. What are your odds of winning? You either win or you don't. 50/50. You should play every week.

why do all my friends buy dollar store shower head LED flashlights?

Actually that is how it is done mathematically. If Crelant has 1 in 100 chance of failing then the chance of both of them failing is 1/100 x 1/100 = 1 in 10,000.

    Discontinued flashlight that you love

It's a shame about the Quarks. I have 2 of them and like them a lot, but since getting my Zebralight headlamp, I think I found my replacement. Plus, I can get them in neutral. I'm sorry I didn't get the neutral Quark heads when they were still available.

    Light you regret NOT buying

Me too. I love my LF3XT and was going to buy the LF2XT but kept holding off and then all of sudden they went out of production.

What would you buy? Money not an issue.

Liteflux LF2XT. I'm still kicking myself for not buying one years ago when they were still available.

    Zebralight water resistance issues?

I did IP testing for our company's products. IPX7 is defined as 1 meter for 30 minutes. IPX8 is as defined by manufacturer but at least as severe as IPX7. So every company can have their own IPX8 conditions. If ZL is stating 2 meters for 30 minutes than that exceeds IPX7. If it can handle that...

    Zebralight water resistance issues?

IPX7 is 1 meter submersion for 30 minutes while IPX8 is as defined by manufacturer, so it could be deeper submersion or longer duration underwater or some other combination, but you don't know unless they tell you, so I would say IPX8 is definitely not "normal".

Is the surefire 6p original worth buying?

I may get flamed for this, but I don't own either of the below-mentioned brands, so it's a completely innocent question. If you are using a host to create your light why not get a Solarforce instead of Surefire?

What do you keep next to your bed?

LiteFlux LF3XT or Quark 123^2. Lowest setting for both is perfect at night.

    Maelstrom price increase?

Is there a change to the Maelstrom? Or was it just a sale? I saw it for $90 a while ago and now it's at $150. At the $90 price I thought it was a great deal. At this price I'm not too sure. Anyone who has one want to chime in and tell me their thoughts on it?
