    - Surefire U2 - still a very great light. To me the U2 is a nearly perfect light. - Wiseled Tactical - obvious reasons. a unique beautiful, performance light. there is no replacement. - Fenix P1 - i love the simplicity. it's been my EDC for a while now and i plan on keeping it that way

    it does NOT stand on its tail. however Nekomane made a bunch of tailguard replacements which solve this "problem". I use one and love it. Search the forum for z58 tailguard.

    UI Brightness Sequence, What's your preference

    #1 for sure. I will qualify it by saying that it depends on the UI too. I would ultimately prefer a light where you can select the brightness before firing up. But I prefer to save my batteries and stay on the "safe" side on low.
