    The Trustfire Protected 18650's run my ROP-lo well and cost $10/pair from DX...another $10 for the charger and $12 for the pack with the 3854-L bulb....was just as bright on the stock reflector and lens before i replaced with the KD Reflector and Bora lense...but like KiwiMark said, the low bulb...

    charge times arent so important...i usually use this light in 1-3 minute sessions, so i can go a few days(or weeks) between charging ...i usually just charge overnight...now for this: LiFePO4 26650 $8.95/cell...i'm all about saving money....are they at least a cut-above my Trustfires? And...

    Thanks for the feedback, guys...i'm gonna wait til i put the final touches on this ROP-lo build before i take a chance on the 'hi'...i may just save it for another(roomier) host...then invest in some more robust batteries and good charger(so much for keeping my battery collection simple, lol)...

    Finally got some of my M@g 2D ROP parts in and got it working with the low bulb so far...will update here with pics when its complete...with 2 - 18650 protected trustfires and no resistance mods i measured 8.2volts on the batteries in series and 1.95 amps at the tailcap...not sure but probably...

    So if i decided to go with a ROP low and changed my mind to do a ROP high later, would it be better to get the borafloat lens instead? will there be more transmission loss than the UCL? and will i have to replace the stock reflector as well?

    Newbie looking for the simplest upgrade for a 2d M@G... Here's what i have to work with: M@g 2d of course 2-spare 18650 Li-ions Simple hand tools & soldering iron I may get directed to the LED forum, but I'm thinking theres probably a xenon or some type of low voltage bulb in the pr13 package...
