    What is the soldering method behinds this?

    A good solder joint should be smooth and shiny. This can be achieved with a good hot soldering iron, led solder and plenty of flux. I use a flux core led solder + a little flux paste. You may need to clean off excess flux, but you will be left with a smooth joint. -works for me at least

    I have used automotive gasket material. Its high temp and can be cut easy. Can get at auto zone or any of those places. I forget the exact name, but its nice and thin too. And you can buy hole punches in all different sizes at any craft store for making a perfect hole for the emitter...

    The d2flex doesnt regulate current, so your power configuration needs to match the emitter. (In this case 3xnimh does) But yeah if your after modes, cant beat it. It has many programmable modes, bike, fixed and flashlight modes also temp sensing. Plus cant beat Taskleds service.

    Ive seen that paint in person, its not bad at all- closest I have seen to chrome without being chromed. 50 cent had a lamborghini painted with it also- it was nice.. Its from Alsa Corp. You can even get it in a spray can now. I bet it would work great on a custom made reflector.- alot better...
