Formal taxonomy aside, a whale (you should realize) is: "an air breathing fish with a horizontal tail" You don't know your Melville!

    Atwood LunaSol!

Thanks for the correction Mr. M! I should have realized that the hardware would be Titanium. I know you are a ...is "purist" the correct (complimentary) term? I love the idea of a "live" anodizing demo! That's the kind of thinking that drives the innovation at the McGizmo works. :)

I noticed it was missing a screw as well. I figure one of them was damaged in disassembly or something. Aren't those stainless steel screws? I don't believe they can be anodized.

    LE for Mule

If that offer was directed to me, I very much appreciate it. however, I would want something to use with the Aleph McClicky Mule with a sinlge primary cell. thanks you, though

    LE for Mule

A WTB add has not worked for me. I'm surprised. I had expected a ready market of superceded Luxeon light engines. With a retired LE the Aleph McClicky Mules would be a very affordable high-end custom light. I guess everyone is attached to their older lights--which I consider a good thing...

If you want, I'll swap you a clicky tailcap for your LOTC.

    The Mule

This really is fantastic! I'm consistantly surprised by how many folks around here don't "get" flood lighting! A smooth, even flood is beautiful and satisfying, and good for all indoor distances--even up close. It's what we expect our home light fixtures to produce--so why not our...

    Flat Switch in Surefire Clicky

    Flat Switch in Surefire Clicky

Can I assemble a flat twostage switch, with the McGizmo flat rubber "boot" (more of a disc, I guess) in a Surefire Z57 (E-series clicky) body? HAs anyone tried this? I have a spare surefire clicky that doesn't work, and I was thinking that the little retaining ring would give the flat switch...

The New Tailcap from Don!!The McTC Tailcap listed at the Shoppe.

When will the naturals be in at the Shoppe? I'm holding back on an order to get one of these!

    Flared Body--What's that cut-out?

I just received my first Aleph parts--a 2x123 flared body and a standard tailcap (with switch kit) from the Shoppe. After trying to assemble the switch with the PCB upside down I have everything working with my KL4, and I'm quite happy :) The finish on the tailcap is quite splotchy, but...

    Installing McE2S in a Z59 clickie.... possible?

The last time you asked McGizmo said he didn't recommend trying it. That's good enough for me! Remember, it will cease to be a clickie after you mod it... I recommend you get a C-Series lock-out tailcap (Z41, I think--available in HA) as K mentioned.

    Suggestions for a 2-stage clicky

In my opinion, the whole "click for setting one, click for setting two, etc" thing is way too clunky. A number of lights offer with sort of UI, and I don't care for it. The simple and elegant two stage twistie "works" for me because it is ntuitive and instantly available--no cycling through...

And yet ANOTHER question about the 2 stage switch....Somebody stop me!

Re: Question about the 2 stage switch.... Yet ANOTHER dumb question!!! If it's OK with you guys, I'm going to jump into this thread rather than start my own with the same old question. I'm ordering an aleph switch to go with my KL4. I want my low to be approx. 1/2 watt intensity (about...

McE2S>>>Going the way of the dinosaur?

Does anyone have these switches for sale? I just bought an L4, and I really want a standard aleph tailcap with two-stage switch for it (preferably HA-Nat). The Shoppe is out. Can anyone direct me to a source?

    Silly Aleph LE question

Oh, so all I'd really need is an additional 6mm of threads (plus a reflector)? That just might be worth the trouble.

    Silly Aleph LE question

I have tried to read all the ifo in the stickies and on the shoppe page, but I cannot fin d(or have, more likely, missed) this answer: Will an Aleph Light Engine (or any assembly built from an E-can/E-screw) fit an umodified Surefire E-series head?
