Smoother ramping depending on battery brand for QTC installed Peaks?

Success! I made a paper sleeve (card was too thick) for the AW cell and now it seems to be smoother (touch wood). I think with the looser cell its not making proper contact with the QTC pill. Just need to experiment a bit with the amount of paper to get it nice and tight but not too tight that I...

Smoother ramping depending on battery brand for QTC installed Peaks?

Paul I tried my Logan QTC with Battery Station cells and the AW Black Labels and it definitely ramps a bit smoother with the primary cells, though not dramatically so. They also fit better in the tube (the AWs are obviously smaller and rattle around a bit). Kind of bummed cos I want to use...

    Logan QTC

I just got a HAIII version in, thanks to my buddy Death's Head (RMSK dont ship overseas). I dont know what type of beam it is but its plenty floody enough for me. I really like the light. The beam is fantastic. The only niggle is on very low it flickers, so no reading with it. But when you ramp...

Why can't flashlight manufacturers design decent clips?

The comparisons to knife manufacturers is valid. Most flashlight freaks also carry knives and if the knife makers can make a decent clip why is it such a challenge for flashlight manufacturers? I agree that the McGizmo clip is probably the best of its kind. Its a superb design and performs its...

Why can't flashlight manufacturers design decent clips?

This is a real mystery to me. How hard can it be to come up with a decent clip for a flashlight? And yet over and over again they seem to get it wrong. Its a pretty simple thing - isnt it?

    120P behaving badly

Indeed it is. After getting the factory reset I was able to find the ramping formula and now have 3 levels to my liking: medium to start, followed by full bright followed by ultra low.... I'm not ready to mess with the options just yet. :shakehead

    120P behaving badly

Aha! I have managed to achieve a factory reset!!! The biggest challenge seems to be getting the clicks right..... The button on this one is softer than my 85P so its almost as if I have to relearn the UI or risk over-cooking the recipe.... Oh well, all part of the fun I guess! Gee, its great...

    120P behaving badly

The other thing that makes me think it might be battery related is when I try to get the ramping option with click-click-press-hold I instead get the max bright setting. I can't seem to access the ramping option to go through the different levels... :(

    Comparison Arc6 versus Novatac 120P

If you want something small what about the BiTz? People who own one seem to like it a lot and its very small (and considerably less expensive than the Arc).

    120P behaving badly

The light is functioning, but I think the problem might be one of two things: a) I'm not getting the click click press thing right, which is entirely possible. b) The battery did not have a full charge. I'm in the process of charging it now, so that should help to eliminate the latter...

    120P behaving badly

Hey guys, I just got a used 120P that I bought from a guy on EDCForums. The thing is I can't get this light to do anything I want it to. I'm not entirely new to these lights, having had an 85P for some time, but this light just doesn't want to cooperate. At the moment I have somehow managed...

    First flashlight need help

You wont get a super bright light that has a very long runtime. What you need is a light with two levels, so you can get the brightness when you want it but still have a low level option to conserve power. There are several Surefires that offer two levels. I'm not up on all of them so I...

    Am I retarded?

I have a Novatac 85P and a 120P on the way.... I have studied the manual and so far have figured out how to set two brightness levels and I can also get a third setting, currently the SOS option. Aren't there meant to be four settings available on this light? Am I missing something here? Why...
