    If this is what you're looking for the L6 will be perfect!! I'm running mine on 12 volts with a MC123 extension (from Lighthound) and I can't tell you total run time but I've haven't gotten thru the first set of batteries yet!! Side spill +1 Throw +1 Bright +1 Color mine is really white! +10

I cut a short length (about 1/8") of heat shrink tubing and placed it over the LED. I didn't heat it up, the friction fit is good enough...

    DORCY METAL GEAR - what's the catch?

    Break the head loose and focus it like a M*glite. I too got one that was not as tight as my first... started messing with it and found that the head is glued in place and some are glued in the wrong position. Shouldn't affect water proofing... there is an o-ring underneath. Worth a try IMHO!
