500 Lumen - AAA Flashlight (photos) - Work In Progress - Part 2

They're not nearly as small but for some they may fill the need or desire. Search for the new D4 or D1. Very high output with super small tubes for 18350 - 18650, infinitely variable and choice of LEDs.

MBI #4 - Get Ready to meet Zeus™

The problem with indiegogo and probably kickstarter is that they take a pretty big chunk out of your cash. An indiegogo user told me he has to budget for the 16% they take off the top. Then there's the issue of taxes. I guess that depends on whether you have a business or not and your tax...

Any idea how long it will take after launch to get one with an infinitely variable head? 3 mo? 6? 12? :)

Sounds like it would be easy to make it infinitely variable if you thought the demand was there. :)

    Mechanical Modding Services

Hi! Sorry about your back. I hope your bad days disappear. Can the Sunwayman V11R aluminum be bored for 18mm cells? Would it be $80 to bore aluminum body + extender?

I've heard of Fragile X syndrome, but Hungry X is a new one. Unfortunately I'm the kind of writer who assumes you know my thoughts as I type :) Initially I left it on the bedside table. Then a week before I wrote my last message I started carrying it. It never got hot with a LiIon in...

A detent for off would be great. I've been carrying this with a full battery and the battery is always discharged when I pull it out. It must be turning on in my pocket.

500 Lumen - AAA Flashlight (photos) - Work In Progress - Part 2

Sorry I've been MIA, one of our people quit and I've been doing 5 or 6 12 hr shifts per week. I have been following the topic here. A few updates. The head o-ring is just loose. I put the head down LED up and the o-ring just fell off. What size O-ring are you folks using? I'd like to get a...

500 Lumen - AAA Flashlight (photos) - Work In Progress - Part 2

I tried mine for the second time. Before, turning the control ring resulted in level changes at uneven intervals. Now turning the control ring does nothing for several turns. Then at random it will work as it should for a while, then go back to turning the ring doesn't change levels...

It's so perfectly round I wasn't sure if it was another dot to show where to line something up. Any tips on where to hold to unscrew the short body?

BTW, the tint is unusually good. I don't know if the XML2 is warmer than the XML or I just got lucky or Guy put in a 4500 just because he's that kind of guy :)

The forum S/W keeps losing my posts (5x!). I'll try again. :) First of all it looks utterly cool. People who see one will want one, no doubt. I like the fins but agree they should not double as a weapon. :) Mine works well with the long body and an alkaline AAA. I haven't tried a Li...

4 levels - I wasn't expecting that. Also a squarish beam with rounded corners. Very nice.
