    Cabela's 3watt Luxeon

Cabela\'s 3watt Luxeon I went to the new Cabela's in Austin, Friday and picked up my first 3 watt Luxeon led light. I got it from the clearance bin for $64.09 list. I am impressed, a good bit better than my Costco 1 watt's. The light is under the Cabela's brand and uses a single rechargeable...

Has Anyone else got this AmondoTech Special

I intend to get this special, but need to wait one more month, (just paid off my motorcycle this month). I would also love to get the ALX-654c as well, but can't afford both. Wish I could get it, the ALX-654c, instead of the 3x1 watt in the special.

Has Anyone else got this AmondoTech Special

I take it that the purpose of the NikolaTesla mod kit is to increase the output of these lights by using four C cells instead of three D cells. Does anyone know if 3/4 size D cells are made? I know you can get 1/2 size D cells, but six 1/2 D cells is likely too much voltage. I wonder; would...

    Costco Led Lights

Thanks Ryan, I will try the mod as soon as I get a 3 watt star. I went down to Costco again today; the price had dropped to $19.99. So I picked up another set. These were both whiter and brighter than the first set I got. I wonder when and if Costco will carry a 3 watt version? Walter...

    R123 - Led Light Combo??

Hey gang; in your opinion, what would be my best choice for a led light with the following qualities. 1. Output better than a QIII. 2. Using at least two CR123A, (three would be OK.) 3. Of good quality. 4. Able to use rechargable batteries. (RCR123A batteries from Battery Station) Thanks, Ed

    Costco Led Lights

Sounds like a nice mod, nerdgineer. One of the things I don't like is that you can't stand them on end.

    Costco Led Lights

Yes, thank you taiji, the review at had everything I needed to know except the type of Luxeon used. These lights seem to be massively over built. The first thing I did was to swap in some 2500 mAh Energizer batteries. They work great. But I think I caught the bug; I want more, brighter, more...

    Costco Led Lights

The Costco lights have gone on sale, now $25 were $29. I like them. Though of the two I got one is better than the other. Does anyone know what Luxeon leds are used in these lights. I suspect they are 1 watt leds, but the packaging does not say. Thanks, ed
