    The Lumapower D-Mini VX (standard or Ultra) works fine with flat-top 18650s. The extender tube (D-65v) includes a little spring that gets installed under the light engine, so you end up with springs on both sides. If you mean the Lumapower Signature VX, I'm not sure.

    :welcome: XP-G R5 is a great choice. I recommend grabbing an XR-E R2 light as well, to compare and contrast. Might surprise you what you end up liking!
