    Totally agree with you. I love my MT10A, which has an XM-L2. Output on 14500 is fantastic. Strikes me as just weird that the 18650 version uses an XP-G2. Nice work upgrading your LED! Personally I hope they release an official GT version, like they did with the MT40. I currently EDC a MH20GT...

    Need a really cheap AAA keychain Flashlight (2 choices so far)

    Just a note - the Maratac is manufactured by iTP. They look different, but are essentially the same light. Have bashed my Maratac AAA (Q5) around in my pocket for well over a year now, and never had a problem with it. 10440 works nicely.

    The Lumapower D-Mini VX (standard or Ultra) works fine with flat-top 18650s. The extender tube (D-65v) includes a little spring that gets installed under the light engine, so you end up with springs on both sides. If you mean the Lumapower Signature VX, I'm not sure.

    Oh Lowes has those? Excellent, will have to pick one up. Interesting thread. My own experience is much the same - I reach for my tailstanders. Little lights like Mini123, P1D, and IncenDio are easy to spread around different rooms and just leave on lower settings.

    Just wanted to throw in my $0.02 - this is a wonderful little EDC. Note that unlike the Fenix LD10+ and Jetbeam RRT-0, NiMH or Alkaline output on the TRUST-1 is pretty dim. Still plenty usable - just don't expect to be wowed at low voltage. On 14500 Li-ion, it really comes alive! To my eye...
