    Otter Box Holster for Blackberrys

My office is about to handout Blackberry Curves. Has anyone the OtterBox belt holsters for a Blackberry or similar sized device? How do you like it? Is it very bulky?

    Remington 870

What Beastmaster said. You'd probably be money ahead locating a police or wingmaster 870 on the used market. You just about can't kill an 870, and if you do, there's always Wilson Combat's Remington Steal package. FWIW, I traded out of two 870's for an 11-87 several years ago. Idon;t regret...

What's Going To Happen With All The TVs When Signals Go Digital Next Year?

I have digital rabbit ears. No kidding. They work surprisingly well.

    Sunglass Strap idea

I had been trying to make a strap out of gutted paracord secured with dental floss in the same manner that you would whip the end of a rope. I like your way better. Thanks.

    Maxpediton vs Spec.-Ops

Just ordered a PF II yesterday. Hopefully will see it by the end of the week. In all the reviews I read, the side mesh/water bottle pouches were a feature that was noted as very useful. I intend to carry a nalgene bottle of water on one side and a thermos of carry on the other. :D I own a...

Yet another baliout/bugout bag thread...need opinions...

RE: all the blades - I feel your pain. I've typically got one - three on me, and that's just to go to the grocery store! A better strategy might be to pare it down to two (fixed blade and mutli-tool) and stash the rest in handy places. And here is a general observation - not aimed at you. Many...

Yet another baliout/bugout bag thread...need opinions...

That's a good start. As much as it pains me to say this, you might be a little heavy on blades... 5 or 6?. And too the pelican cases, while adding a significant degree of protection/organization, also add a bit of weight. Do knives really need to be in a crushproof/watertight container? You...

I make my own Leather sheaths and holsters. 27LT added and NOW the SS Civictor

Re: I make my own Leather sheaths and holsters. Warning! many pictures. Okay, I'll say it: somewhat coarse in the area of fit & finish. BUT, I see a great deal of forethought in the design. Function over form as it were. I really like how there is not excess/wasted material in the sheaths...

Anyone care to recommend a Bluetooth Earpiece?

It sounds like you guys are saying that the In-the-ear models are more comfy than over-the-ear? That's opposite of what I expected. If it matters, the phone is a Verizon Smartphone/PDA. I *think* I would like to be able to hear some ambient sounds rather than completely blocking them out (you...

Anyone care to recommend a Bluetooth Earpiece?

The title says it all. I'm breaking down and getting one. I've avoided the cyborg look for as long as I can. Suggestions? Models to avoid?

    Non-lethal carry options

I take issue with two things stated by GraniteForge. Foam OC does NOT work better than spray. The foam was developed as an answer to cross contamination issues in confined areas (jails). It is NOT more effective. Secondly, yup, if you deploy OC you might get a mild dose as well. The "heavy...

What's new for 2007 from Maxpedition?

Was wondering the same myself. They tweaked some of their bags late last year but I was expecting something new post-SHOT.

what kind of sunglasses do you prefer?

Oakley M-Frames w/ VR-28 lens. Hands down the best combo I have tried. They provide serious protection from impact for your eyes to boot. The other bonus is that they do not obstruct your peripheral vision at all. This is a pet peeve of mine and a deal killer when it comes to glasses. My Oaks rock!

Help selecting between 2 gear bags

The Maxpedition bag is very well constructed at the expense of being somewhat heavy for it's size. The body of the bag retains it's shape when empty and it will hold a bunch of junk. Plenty of smaller pockets to organize small items with the bonus of being able to add a small pocket or two on...

    Bug-out Box... sort of

Let me reiterate... These are simply papers that my co-worker *wants* to work from. They are backed up electronically. What we are gearing up for is not a "hair on fire" evacuation, but rather, "Hey, there's a hurricane in the gulf and we need to button-up" situation. Lemon et.al. - I just...

    Bug-out Box... sort of

These documents are backed up on electronically. This is our procurement person who would need to work at optimum efficiency if our building was destroyed in a storm. For these particular documents, she oprefers to work from hard copy as opposed to electronically and I need to keep her happy...

    Bug-out Box... sort of

Here's the deal. My office is working on disaster preparedness. We are located in a hurricane prone area. One of our staff (and probably others) has various files stored in those little el cheapo plastic hanging file holders that can sit on a desk. She has four of them and wants to continue...

    Laptop Case Suggestions??

You already know the easy answer - Maxpedition MPB. I've got one and it will haul a load of junk. My only complaint is the stupid flashlight straps (how ironic is that). It is bombproof.
